I think the DialIdol forums guy has someone giving him votes for only 1 of the timezones. Their lists are very close to each other each week.

They're not messing with the Bottom 3 at this point. And I bet Lakisha goes out in 7th place, just like Boomie.

According to sucks, this guy said this is the amount of votes the idols got this week.

The biggest problem with their dial thingy is that it does not account at all for all the votes that are texed in. Also it's a rough sampling based upon test calls to see if the lines are busy or not. Take this thing with a big grain of salt.

Yeah, the system is basically like if you had ten friends and two voted for Sanjaya, therefore Sanjaya got 20% of the total vote. (extremely simplified, but it's just for example purposes) It's not going to be 100% accurate but it has a measure of merit.

I can believe that he has the second highest amount of votes at this stage. That's how VFTW powers their contestants through. In the beginning they have a much larger base to draw from than any of the contestants. Where they start to lose control of the vote is when more and more good contestants get voted off. The VFTW group is a fairly stable base of numbers throughout the show, they aren't really growing. The contestants, on the other hand, are growing in the number of votes each week because most people who have lost a contestant they like will start to vote for their second or third choice instead of not voting at all. So, they add to the vote numbers of that contestant. At some point they become big enough numbers that the VFTW people can't keep up, and from the history, that's typically around 6th place.

I doubt that Lakisha or Jordin can be voted out next. If anything, Lakisha could go today, but I don't really think it'll happen. I'll agree with Phil or haley going tonight.

As for Melinda winning, I think it can happen. If Sanjaya won't take it

He will be shortly though. Like I was saying, his is the only vote group that won't be gaining in numbers each week. The votes he's got now are the votes he'll continue to have. The other contestants will gain momentum from other candidates voters and will soon pass him.

I'd like to see Melinda win, but I wouldn't be unhappy if Jordin won. I figure either way they are going to sign both and Jordin's childhood is pretty much over...a shame. I'm sure she thinks that what she wants now, but when she's worn out from all the touring and people telling her how to wear her hair and clothes, etc. there will likely come a time when she recognizes all the things she missed out on. You look at people like Britney Spears who started young and were workaholics for many years and then they reach a stage where they just start to burn out and fall apart. I just think the record company etc. has an easier time taking advantage of younger people who are eager and willing to work so hard and making them think it is normal, and just burning them out.
