Someone Stole my Password!!!!!

Some one stole my password a few days ago, and sent out a massive chain letter to over 200 people!  I remember because AOL informed me, and I had to change my password.....It had to be someone I know, because the password was very personal, and not many people would have guessed it......My scren names ok now, but I had to change my password, and now its a little confusing because forums I am in still have my old pssword.  Sad Cry

JL you can go into your profile and change your password at anytime. I change my passwords on a regular basis just to be safe!

It probably wasn't someone you know.,
 
AOL passwards are notoriously insecure, my bf has had to change his AOL password twice for that same reason.  It's not as hard as you might think to hack into someone's account.

They may not have even stole your password at all. Some mail servers are not secure and you can hook into them and send out mass e-mails and make it look like they came from a different address.  They may never have been on your actual account at all.  It's smart to change your passwords just the same.

Yes, Rhune. I know what you mean. It might just mean that someone faked the Email Address shown. But with closer inspection, they should have known it wasn't from the real person.
 
I get emails from my friends email account, and it has attachments with viruses. I know that they don't come from him, so I delete them immediately.
