You know Kelby, I've often toyed with different scenarios in my head for upcoming Survivor seasons.  I think it would have been really neat on All-Stars if a Panamanian who didn't speak a word of English would have come to be a part of each tribe.  That would have thrown a whole new dynamic into the game.

In my reasoning, the Panamanian would need to be someone who really knew how to live off the land--a survivalist--and it would be his/her responsibility to try to show the tribe members where to find the best vegetation, how to build adequate shelter from nature, and how and what to eat.  It would be up to the tribe members to cooperate and try to understand what their "guide" was trying to show them.

The guide would have a vote at tribal council, but his/her vote would not be based on alliances.  It would be based on who is truly trying to survive, learn, and help.

The twist would be that, near the end of the game, it would be revealed that this guide actually speaks fluent English and is a professor at a Panamanian university!  Or something along those lines...

That would be interesting indeed!

Do you know Rupe if there are any hard and fast rules the MB and gang must follow in the intrests of preserving the enviroment? You know the old story about vacationing certain places where they say..take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints? Im curious.

I have no idea but I would certainly hope they'd leave things as nearly as they found them.

There are so many things I want to know about Survivor behind-the-scenes.  I won't mention them here because many of the questions I have deal with personal hygiene concerns but I also wonder how much the medical staff intervenes, how far the production staff will let things go before they intervene, etc.

I believe I recently an interview with Jeff Probst in which he said that the water, food, and fire situation was getting so dire in All-Stars at the beginning that had the contestants gone one more day without these essentials, the staff would have helped them out.

Those bug bites though...that alone is the reason I couldn't do it.  Mosquitos love me anyway but I know that in the tropics, there are many mosquito-borne illnesses to be concerned about.  (I'm sure the contestants are vaccinated ahead of time, though.)

Yah I dont much like bugs either, and there is no amount of money that I could win that would make it okay for me to appear on National Television with hairy legs and armpits, and I cant go 4 hours with out a toothbrush never mind days.perhaps thats the high maintennance in me.

I love camping but prefer campsites without sloth's and other critters. I prefer outhouses  and the luxury of tp over the survivor alternative! It truly is amazing what people will do for money...eating bugs-ugh!

Yup MB would be wise to do a 'behind the scenes' special !

He probably already has one in mind that he'll pull out of his magic hat when rating start to get low and/or interest in Survivor dwindles.
