From the latest issue of Us Weekly magazine...

-Says she was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in May, just after the finale.

-Says her dad's sister died of breast cancer at a young age.

-She had breast implants five years ago.

-She had a successful double mastectomy on August 29.

-The cancer didn't spread anywhere else.

-Coby said he would shave her hair

-She's going back to Oregon for six months of chemotherapy.

-She's not scared of dying of the disease, but of "all the changes," such as "losing her hair" and "not being able to see her friends."

WOW...she is so young, I guess this goes to show it can happen to anyone at any age. She is in my thoughts and prayer, and I am so happy to hear it did not spead anywhere else. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Inside Edition ran the story on their 10/27 broadcast. Which was apparently a couple of weeks after the head shaving party and Jenn's first chemo. Jenn first shaved Coby's head down to a very close buzz cut and then he gave her somewhat of a pixie cut. They both looked great.

Then they showed the beginning of the initial chemotherapy treatment. They interviewed Jenn throughout the story and she discussed how she ignored the first lump she found and it progressed from there. She commented how she was most concerned about having to shave her head, since she's very fond of her hair...this set up the Coby angle. The story was short, but nicely done.

Sadly, things are not good for Jenn right now. Coby (who is really a nice guy to his fans!) has given me an update today which I'll share with you...

"Jenn is NOT doing well. She had complications and had to go back to LA to get rid of a infection. She was there for about a week and is now back in Portland.

Also, her sister-in-law just passed away of brain cancer last week as well...now her family who was already helping Jenn is helping their son raise his 2 young sons...they have alot on their plate right now, so please keep up the sweet thoughts."

If you haven't sent me a support message to get to Jenn but would like to, you still have time. I'm still putting things together for her. Post it here, contact me via PM or e-mail it to me at [email protected].
