While it hasn't been confirmed by CBS, based on past seasons and the way that sweeps falls, people are expecting the premiere to be September 14th.

According to Futon Critic, the "projected" airdate of Survivor is September 21, altho it could be one week earlier (14th as mentioned by Media Scribe) or one week later.

I got an official press release from CBS that the premiere of Survivor: Cook Islands is definitely Thursday, September 14. So hopefully they'll officially release the cast about a month earlier...around August 14?

CBS informed me today that the official Cast Release Date is Wed., August 23rd on The Early Show. They will also announce the official premiere date then as well, as things are a little fluid right now.

23rdistoofaraway, having worked in television and at Survivor sites for years, I have established a good relationship with CBS. They have given me access to their press releases and I also have a contact there who will provide me information when I ask for it.
