New Balance 990 “Tweed” on sale

You know that autumn is on the horizon when heritage running brands like New Balance start tooling with material mock-ups like tweed. This near-monochromatic creation found atop the new balance 990 marks a shift in seasons thanks to the heavier herringbone-inclined textile usually found on your grandfather’s sport coat. A premium teal suede highlights most of the panels while a dark obsidian lands on the heel and iconic ‘N’ logo in leather. The tweed hits fill the voids found in the rest of the shoe for an interesting take on one of the brand’s oft-forgotten classics recently undergoing a revamp (you should also check out the Mid-Century Modern Collection to see more of the 990s premium capabilities).
New Balance really know how to catch our eyes, but more specifically, these new balance 998s wrapped up in cobalt blue and orange really catch our eyes. A perfect amount of suede, just the right amount of colour pops, contrasting colours and that subtle hit of 3M to finish it all off.
New balance 574 homme has seen a number of structural renditions over the years and now the company is combining a trio of them and dressing them in polka dots. Due out later this month, the brand’s “Polka Dot” pack includes seamless welded, mesh and suede, and contemporary Fresh Foam versions of the silhouette, employing olive, tan, and navy colorways along with white accents and matching dots throughout.
Don’t fret, Whiz Khalifa is not sponsored by New Balance now, but NB’s Flimby factories have harnessed a touch of Pittsburgh funk to bring you these two latest ‘Made in the UK’ new balance 670 release. Originally release in 1984, the 670 possesses the classic running cut and stylings we all know and love from NB, stitched up here in a premium mix of high-grade suede and mesh. Options of predominantly black, or for the more fancy of foot, majority yellow, are available with the latter filled with the opposing hue.
