Last year it was Stan Smith. Now there is another pair of adidas Nike Roshe Run Femme kicks that make the foot of remarkable fashion girls: Superstar. The style - with its hard toothed skull and three stripes - first came to court in 1970. It took off in the 80's hip hop scene and seemed retired when more flamboyant colorful sneakers hit shelves. But the superstar resurfaced again in the late 90's and early 2000s. (Two of our shopping editors especially remember to have exclusively superstars throughout the high school.)
Now celebrating the 35th anniversary, the star's silhouette is back. To celebrate, the R29 store hit the classic sneakers and took them out to town. Browse below to check out four different ways to design Superstars. It's time for a forward throw for your feet.

Available in both bold and subdued iterations, the shoes mix richly structured tops with contrasting accents, updating the portable shoe with extra visual interest. The most eye-catching version matches gray melange Primeknit with bright ribbons and a blue leather strap. The other sneakers have a darker knitting with subdued panels, with tone alloys instead of bold colors. Both shoes have free loops, white waistcoats and toecaps and attenuated eyelids, focusing on the contrasting Three Strip Nike Air Max Thea Donna branding.
