The strike is over!! Jorge and Matthew have both said they've been called back to "the island" - and in a news report I read yesterday, Damon said IF they can get back to work ASAP, they should be able to have new episodes ready by the time the 8th one (the last one finished) airs... so, it may run into summer.. but we may still get all 16!!

I'd have to agree with all the above!  I literally screamed when I saw who Sayid was working for.. OMG!!!

That said, this was a freaking awesome episode!  One of the best ever!  I am so glad I didn't read any spoilers this year!!

Also, I read today that Carlton Cuse has said definitely five more episodes - so we'll get 13 total.  They want to put all the pertinent information from the final 8 into 5, was the way I read it... which may be why we're getting the "enhanced" versions of last weeks shows, to tell us the stuff that may get left out...

this episode was insane
although the one thing i hate about the fast-fowards are that we know who survives, so if we see locke pointing his gun at ben we know he is not going to shoot him

Yeah, but, come ON, you gotta admit KNOWING Sayid survives -- and then becomes a HIT man with a freaking LIST FROM BEN -- are two totally different things altogether!

I HATE  knowing that Ben doesn't get his crank whacked. I HATE that. I want him dead. NOW.

BUT, how does Sayid then end up succumbing to Ben's Rulez?!

Hurley, Hugo, my man, DOOD, you were bad. Naughty naughty, no-excuse-for-you bad. How could you possibly betray EVERYONE like that at Locke's direction?

Sawyer, I can understand. He wants Frickle Pickles back. He'd jump at the chance to be alone with her again.

But Hugo was just extremely disappointing and, it goes a long way to explain why Future Jack and he are so *distant* from each other.

Couple of interesting notes:

Ben can -- and apparently DOES -- leave the island frequently under a plethora of guises, not the least of which one being Moriarity -- nice touch.

That being the case, why didn't he get his cancer surgery done during one of his jaunts? Why go through the entire drama of making Jack do it?

Lawnmower Man made a very specific *promise* to Sayid. He said only that he would take him off the island.

Where did the cabin go?

How come the payload had a 31-minute *delay*, yet voice comm is pretty much no delay? Even going through a satellite??

Curiouser and curiouser!!

Yeah, I like the Moriarty... Cheesy

I think the time thing is really important - also the fact that he told Lapidus to be sure to follow the exact bearings they came in on, "no matter what."  I think if you go off course, you either end up behind where you started or ahead of where you started in the "timeline"...

I am also curious about the "exact bearing" thing. We know that the boats that have tried to leave the island end up back on the island regardless of how long they bobbed around in the ocean.

I think there must be some sort of rift when they get through whatever barrier there is by following the "Exact bearings", would account for the "bumpy ride" of the sub as well...

We only have the others word for the bumpy ride.  Since they drugged Juliet, we really don't know exactly HOW she got there.  Wonder if all the others "work men" were drugged as well?

Haha I was shocked as well when Ben was Sayid's boss. :p

I think Ben's targeting people who may be after the Island, and that's why Sayid is doing what Ben tells him to do because he knows he's protecting his friends on the Island.

I am almost positive the creepy african american guy who showed up at the asylum is the spy.  He works on the ship, but also worked for Ben.  Anybody remember Juliet's episode last season?  He was the one talking to her about why she should go to the island, meaning he works for Ben.  Now, he shows up at Naomi's.  Coincidence? Wink

That wasn't the same guy in Juliet's episode.  Richard and Ethan were the ones who recruited Juliet.  The "creepy guy", Matthew Abbadon, is the one who visited Hurley in the hospital in the first epi this season.  He's not been on the show before this year.

I still think it's Michael.. I have my reasons, but I don't want to post any spoilers here...

(sorry, when I posted this the first time this afternoon at school, I meant to click "quote" and apparently clicked "modify".. oops.. Sad
