Okay, i think some of you may already know about this. I will be starting my papers tomorrow starting with Elementary Mathematics and Social Studies on Monday.

I'm currently stressed up right now and really hope that i will be able to do well in my papers. Sad

LittleBoy, Arch Angel and including me, myself will be taking this O-level Cambridge Examinations together and they will end on the 17th November while i will end on 20th November.

Hopefully everything goes pretty well for us. Undecided

Okay! Social Studies was great!! 2 out of 3 themes i studied came out as essay questions and i did everything correctly for Source base.

I'm always not good at maths and to only have 9 points deducted so far out of 80 points is actually quite good. Plus all the careless mistakes and everything i think i will be able to get around 65 for that paper. I need like 56 to get an A. Lol!

Tomorrow's Chemistry and it's my second weakest subject. I'm totally not good at it and i can foresee doom coming nearer and nearer to me.

I really need some good lucks for this paper. I've been trying my best over the past week hoping to get all the Structure of Atoms, bonding, mole calculations and everything in! Grin

Chemistry Paper's great for me today! I had expected to just pass it but now i think i can get at least around 40-50 over 65 points. With Multiple Choice Questions and Practical, i think there's still chances for me to get an A !!!

As for yesterday's Maths Paper, my teacher went through the paper with me and i scored about 66/80 and this is my highest score ever in any of the examinations i've done. I'm so happy and glad right now.

But i will not be contented and will work hard for other subjects. Tomorrow's O level English and Physics paper! Grin

I need 58/100 for Maths Paper 2 to get a 70 score and there's no way i will get 58/100.. so yea.. hopefully i'm safe.

MOE adjusts timings of GCE O and A level papers on 16th and 17th Nov

By S Ramesh, Channel NewsAsia

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board has made adjustments to the timing of some examination papers for the GCE O and A levels on the 16th and 17th of this month.

This is in view of possible travel delays due to traffic arrangements to facilitate US President George Bush's visit to Singapore.

The move is to ensure the candidates reach their exam centres on time.

On 16th November, time adjustments have been made to the O level Additional Mathematics and A Level Geography papers, while on 17th November, there are time adjustments to the O Level Food and Nutrition and Principles of Accounts papers and the A level Further Mathematics and Divinity papers.

How nice indeed *sarcasm* The news report said that the visit date and time will be unknown due to security measures. But just by delaying important examinations, i think it's enough to tell the whole Singapore that George Bush is coming..

A1
A2
B3
B4
C5
C6
D7
E8
F9

A,B,C are the passing grades. The others are all failing grades.

For me, my results are -

English - B3
Chinese - A1
Higher Chinese - A2
Science - B3
Elementary Maths - B3
Additional Maths - C6 (Oops!)
Combined Humanities - A1
Geography - A2

I was sad that i didn't get A2 at least for English and Maths, but what done's done and even if i've gotten A2 for those 2, i would also be entering the same college. But of course with 2 more A's, your results slip looks better.. and you can go about saying i have 6 A's rather than i only have 4 A's. LOL!

Well, on Thursday we take exams in period 1, 3, and 5. However, we go to all of our classes that day. Period 2 & 4 is a study day. On Friday we take 2 & 4 but it's a half day. We only go to Period 2 and 4 and then Home Room at the end to get our new schedules.

So Thursday....
1 - Study Hall (no exam obdviously)
3 - Advanced Swimming (we did it last friday; study period/free swim tomorrow)
5 - Algebra (I will fail badly.)

Friday -
2 - Computer App...
4 - Biology

Racedude, just curious, do you guys have to do a written exam for swmming? And how fast must you be able to swim?

Anyway, my exams will be in July and October.

No, well we had about 6-7 time trials on Friday to see what our speed was. It was 200 Yards which was 8 lengths of the pool. We had one of these as our final exam and I think we were graded based on the improvement from one to the next or somthing like that. I'm not sure; he never said.

But we have had about 19 people in our class. I was ranked 6th out of 19 so that was pretty good. Especially since on the very first time trial I was 9th I think. Anyways, everyone swims different speeds.

I know the fastest swimmer was on our swim team and swims 8 lengths in 2:23 on the first time. The slowest was a 7 minute somthing. On the very last one the fastest was about 2:15 and the slowest was about 4 Minutes. I swam my last one at a 3:11.

My best ever is probably 200m (22 yards) in 2:23. Which is better than the best in Racedude's class.

My exams ended on Thursday, shall update a little about the papers. Lol.

General Paper - Was alright. I did an essay on "Aging well is more enviable than youth." And the comperehension passage was on happiness.

Economics - Disaster. Couldn't really get what the questions were about, didn't help that I fell asleep halfway. Oh, there were 3 people who decided to not take the paper after opening the question booklet and left the examination hall lol.

Biology - It was alright.

Math - Was alright.

Chemistry - Hmm, not too bad, just a little worse than horrible.  Roll Eyes LOL.

just got my report card to day

Wind Ensemble (band) = 98%
Media Lit (in place of english 12) = 91% (I HATED this class, plus my teacher as well)
Pre-Calculus = 98%
Economics = 96%
AP Biology = 97% (college level)
Gym= 96%
AP Statistics = 100%
Marching Band = 100% (easiest hundred of all, never got below this in my life)

So my final average is a 98.4 (we get 5 bonus points for each AP class, so AP Bio is really 102% and AP Stats is 105%

Plus I was happy I only had 1 final, pre-calc, which I got a 96% on.

I loved how my senior year brought up my cumulative GPA

Hopefully I will stay as productive in college (Oswego's a party school)

just got my AP scores back (tests which I took in May)

5 is the highest score, 3 is passing

AP Bio - 4
AP Stats - 4

so I will most likely get college credit these classes (I don't really know if I need Stats and Bio is a core class for my major, so I'm hoping a 4 will get me out off it)

But right now, i think it's all good with National University of Singapore. (Ranked 27th in the whole world)

It's 27th in the whole world, but compared to the thousands of universities in the world, 27th is actually quite good. LOL!

October 1st
General Paper H1
8am - 11am

October 2nd
Economics H2
8am - 11am

October 3rd
Mathematics H1
8am - 11am

October 4th
Chinese Literature H2
1pm - 4pm

October 5th
Geography H2
2.30 - 5.30pm

October 8th
Chinese Literature H2
8am - 11am

My exams will end the last, which means while the 900+ students who don't take Chinese Lit will end on Friday, i will be the minority ending on Monday. Sucks.

But i love my timetable, one paper a day.. so no stress there!

And i have 2 days to do Chinese Lit over the weekend, so that's a plus point.

I just realized most papers are 3 hours long. It's going to be hot and stuffy if i'm not taking the exam in an air-condition room. Sad

Ray is such a god in Chemistry. I'm so sure he'll maintain a 1.00 (highest grade) and perhaps even with a tentative grade of 107% (last time he said it was 102%)

On the other hand, I screwed up Chem but I think English can pull me up.

I had a Math tutorial yesterday from 11:30AM till 5:30PM and started with Biology last night from 8:00PM till 11:00PM. I slept and woke up to continue Biology from 2:30AM to 5:20AM and, yeah, here I am.

Gotta go and prepare for today. Cheesy

You wish, Jejo...I got a 40 over 45. I'm happy with it, but it's not enough to maintain my grade. I'll get a 1.25 most probably. I'm sad with it going down, but I'm still happy I have a chance of passing... Tongue

I. Love. Liz. SOOOO MUCH.

She gave me A LOT of help for the English exam. I'm guaranteed of having at least 78% because of that. Thanks Liz! ILY LOL! Tongue

I miraculously passed the Biology test. o_O

Math... no idea yet, but I think i did fine. I need to perfect that test to get a just-fine but still failing score. XD

Ray, you still WILL get 1.0 in Chem. Maybe only 96% but, heck, that's still a 1.0...

I pray that I get at least a 2.75 tentative score. I believe I need only 6 points in the 25 point other stuff component to get that. However I don't recall submitting homeworks D:, and I also have bad group mates.

Speaking of which, I'm so happy I have a better group this semester (Hi Raymond! Cheesy )

Darn, I can't understand a single thing in SocSci, and Physics is... uhh... yeah. Physics. You know what I mean? I give up on that.

Oh well, this is life. I just have to enjoy it.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When you have lemonade, you are happy. When you are happy, you're gonna be hyper. When you're hyper, you're gonna be... oh joy.  Grin

That's really ironic Elle. But I'm guessing you're gonna do well, judging from your study habits.

And how was the presentation, Ruth?  Smiley

^ IT's OVER IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, it went really well! I was reeeeeeally nervous before that, on the verge of freaking out. Also, during rehearsals and all that, I always had a problem with not moving around and having no hand gestures. But for some reason, during the actual thing today, my hand gestures all came out naturally and I was moving around really comfortably! Ah, I was quite surprised at myself. I guess 'cos I've just been waiting for THE moment lol. Oh, and the segment which I was most worried about, the Question-and-Answer session... usually, my answers are kinda short. But today, I thought through the question quickly and gave a reasonable answer of a reasonable length too! Well, it may not be a perfect job overall but personally, I'm really satisfied. =)

My exams are killing me now. T_T

Physics was terrible, Social Studies was a relief. Tomorrow I'm having Chemistry and English and then on Friday, Math and Biology.

I have to study all six subjects, but since Raymond is SO GOOD at Physics, Social Studies, Chemistry and Math, all he has to study for is English and Biology, and he's also good at those.

Please wish me luck, I'm so scared for my English and Chemistry.
