2nd Runner-up of The Amazing Race 9:

Depending on when a team finishes a Detour, they get the following points:

First: 50
Second: 40
Third: 35
Fourth: 30
Fifth: 25
Sixth: 20
Seventh: 15
Eighth: 10
Ninth: 5
Tenth: 0
Eleventh: -5

Depending on when a team finishes a Roadblock, they get the following points:

First: 90
Second: 75
Third: 65
Fourth: 55
Fifth: 45
Sixth: 35
Seventh: 25
Eighth: 15
Ninth: 5
Tenth: -5
Eleventh: -15

Depending on when the teams check in at the Pit Stop, they get the following points:

First: 135
Second: 110
Third: 95
Fourth: 80
Fifth: 65
Sixth: 50
Seventh: 35
Eighth: 20
Ninth: 5
Tenth: -10
Eleventh: -25

There are also a few ways that teams can pick up points from:

1. If a team is on the first flight out of a country they are in, they get 30 points (if there is only one flight out of the country, this is null and void.)

2. If a team uses the Yield, they get 50 points.

3. However, if a team is Yielded, they lose 50 points.

4. If a team uses the Fast Forward, they get 300 points.

5. If a team wins a prize in addition to coming in first on a leg, they get 25 points.

6. If a team starts and ends any leg in the same position, that team will still earn a 50 points bonus. However, this will not apply to any team that starts in last and finishes last.

7. If on any leg a team starts in last and finishes first, that team will earn a 200 points bonus.

8. If on any leg a team starts in first and finishes last, that team will earn a 200 points penalty.

Teams will also be awarded special bonuses for each leg:

+75 Rom/Amber brains will keep us in the race (For the team who thought the smartest during the leg)

+50 Meredith/Grethcen luck will be with us (For the luckiest team during the leg)

+50 Uchenna/Joyce love will keep us together (For the team that gets along best during the leg)

+50 Linda/Karen perseverance will bring us further (For the team who tried the hardest and never give up during the leg)

+30 Enjoying the view bonus (For the team that enjoy and appreciate their surroundings during the leg)

However, teams will also be awarded special penalties for each leg:

-75 Lake/Michelle bickerings will cost us the race (For the team that complains and quarrel the most during the leg)

-50 Kami/Karli cluelessness will bring us no where (For the team who just didn't think enough during the leg)

-50 Joe/Bill spirit exist in us (For the team who uses underhand method and plot schemes on the other teams during the leg)

-50 Lost! Lost! Lost! penalty (For the team who have no idea where they are going during the leg)

P.S. At the end of each leg, I will give each team a Wildcard bonus, based on one thing that stuck out to me during the leg. This bonus can range anywhere from +100 points to 100 points.

Players can pick up bonuses as well:

1. If their two teams are FIRST and SECOND to check in at any Pit Stop (no other combination is accepted for this bonus), they get a bonus 250 points.

2. By answering 10-15 questions in each prediction round during each leg worth 20-30 points for each question.

3. By using your Yield on one other player, you will get a bonus of 250 points. The player Yielded will lose 250 points instead. Besides, the player Yielded will also not be receiving any points from the team(s) that he/she still has. (The score is subjected to changes, so as not to pull a huge lead for the player using the Yield)

4. By using your Fast Forward, you will automatically rise to first place and gain a 250 points bonus ahead of the leader. If the leader decides to go for the Fast Forward, he/she will gain 250 points. (The score is subjected to changes, so as not to pull a huge lead for the player using the Fast Forward)

NOTE : Players can only use their Yield and Fast Forward only once in the race, so they have to decide when is the best time to use it. However, there is no limit to the number of times a player can be Yielded.

At the end of each elimination leg of the race, the player with the lowest overall score will be eliminated from the race. This is non-negotiable. At the end of the game, there will be only three players left.

The only time when a player will not be eliminated from the race is when the leg happens to be a Non-elimination or To-be-continued leg.

BuNcHiNg Point =D.... Don't you have that stuff saved in a word document of some sort?? Like the scores?? All I know was...Ambrit was leading...Genius was like 300 points behind i think...I was like 500 behind him i think....And i was 1100 ahead of CMR...
It was somthing like that..

The worst of all is that i cannot finish this game with the remaining Final 4 players and i felt so sorry for Racedude, Genius, CMR, Ambrit and myself cause it's like having something left undone and the feeling inside me now is telling me not to be angry but how can i not?

Well...I would love to...But you got screwed bad...So I'm going to leave it up to you as your going to have to work extra hard now...But Popo...The thread can't be revived unless Rhune made a backup database of the forum like from the time you posted the LB today to the time it was deleted...and i doubt that happened...

ETA: Even if she did...I doubt she would re-add that database just for 1 topic...Doing that would delete all posts from that point to now and members who registered...I remember this one forum got hacked and there last backup was like 3 months old and Damn, was it screwed up...Half there active members needed to re-register and all the topics were like gone..

I hope it doens't effect this week in a bad way...Like Ambrit won't be able to answer the questions for this next EP now because she's gone remember...and you ahve no record of her questions so this is so messed up right now...you might need to make this leg a TBC or somthing seeing how it's affected the questions and everything with ambrit being gone...

Genius chose to Yield Racedude next leg.

Ambit had 5800+ points.
Genius had 5500+ points.
Racedude had 5200+ points.
CallMeRob had 4200+ points.

Is that correct?

Lol Ambrit, i think the one who deleted this thread screwed this game totally. I forgot how many points i was to award for Detour, Roadblock and Pitstop finishes now. I really regretted not saving anything down, but it's seriously not my fault too! Cry

If a team gets yielded its like -50 or -75..

Well, that's not always true. I dislike the Hippies too, but they still got the most points for some certain legs. How can i give them a penalty of -500? Unless in other words you are trying to mean i'm biased?

Heather and I talked about this and we both didn't delete the original thread. I asked Rhune if she has a security log of the site and she said she'll look into it, "BUT it probably wasn't anyone. This script sucks sometimes, especially when you are moving threads around, and it may have just killed that thread in the process of your moving stuff. I have seen it glitch like that before from time to time."

The quotes are from Rhune.

So, I guess something might have happened when I was moving back David's new thread to his original thread. That's probably when the glitch happened. Undecided

Hoepfuly next season will have that...It's not as predictable....Right now Genius has no chance of winning....Unless Ambrit decides not to answer questions and takes a penalty instead..My only chance is to take the FF...CMR is basically eliminated unless he takes the FF....Even then it would be close for him..

I think the only way we could of change rankings is for Joseph and Monica to win the game! Haahahha! Or of course Eric and Jeremy. I hope a lot of points would be given away in the Finale. I was very mad when last week's quessies were uhmm, deleted because I know Ill get good scores last week. So I was disappointed.

***For the next season Popo, maybe you consider taking down our answers per week. ^_~ Plus our accumulated scores so that if something happens like this, it would be easy to regain, Excel might help you wih that. I did that in Season 5!... ^_!

The Yield thing on the front page says nothing about the yielded player losing all points from there teams. It just says this:

3. By using your Yield on one other player, you will get a bonus of 250 points. The player Yielded will lose 250 points instead. (The score is subjected to changes, so as not to pull a huge lead for the player using the Yield)

Shoulnd't I get my 165 points from MOJO...Yes, you did say it was subject to change but that is so that they don't pull away with a big lead...And obdviously it changed and it wasn't for that reason.

But it doesn't say that in the current Yield definention....The FF has changed it's way and defenition...the Yield changed it's defenition and the way its used should be different too..

I'm just saying The first yield and FF went through the exact way it was written down in the 1st page...The 2nd FF changed how it would work and it did change in the end result....The Yield changed how it would work but didn't change in the end result.

I don't see this as complaining, just as getting a clarification. If everything else went down as the way it was written I feel this should too. And I'm sure if you we're yielded that you would want it done correctly...Now, I'm not saying it's done incorrectly but I'm saying that it should just have been done like the rest of the specials.

And Yes, it is a game...And I'm sorry for taking it more seriously then you. Maybe I signed up for this knowing it was a competition and some didn't.

Well, he gained a total of 2200 points the last two legs.

Whereas Genius and Ambrit only gain like less than 1500 points.

So anything might happen. If RaYo wins, CallMeRob will win.

And if Eric/Jeremy just screw up, CallMeRob will just win as well.. so we just don't know who will win yet!

i find that having less Fast Forward would be better as it would be more obvious to differentiate better-performing teams from the rest.. if there's is too many Fast Forwards.. it would only make the game less exciting as teams can depend on the Fast Forward to bring them thru that leg.. i wonder what u guys think.. Again, stop complaining. It's because Eric/Jeremy and Fran/Barry dominating the middle part of TAR 9 so she got first for 4 times in a row.

Having 5 FFs will ruin the game, why don't you just think of this simple scenerio below.

If a player has RaYo and Fran/Barry for the first leg of the race, who did so badly in challenges.

And another player has John/Scott and Lisa/Joni, who were the first 2 teams eliminated.

Just think, what if the second player goes for the FF and came in first, despite their teams doing badly.

What if the first player just couldn't make enough points to survive the First leg, and were eliminated even though their teams placed 5th and one in the final 3 in the real race.

Just think again, what if for the second leg.. the second player who has gained a lead because of the FF, fell exactly to the spot before elimination, but a player with better teams that went on much further in the race was eliminated due to the FF?

Then if this scenerio happens 5 times because you wanted 5 FFs, then i can foresee that we'll have a final 3 with players without any teams to gain more points for the final leg.

You are complaining cause you didn't win a leg or the race. But just let it go, this is just a GAME.

I don't want to ruin my game, and i don't want to. Does anyone agree with me?

Yes, I didn't see Ambrit winning the FF....As busy as she is I was shocked when she submitted it in..But, even if I did send it in I would have fallen back to last as my team got eliminated....If I would have gotten it and my teams wouldn't have been eliminated then I probably would have won unless there would be some kind of big twist..

Since CallMeRob made a mistake on those questions, i think he got the wrong idea that he will be answering the same set of questions as Ambrit and score the same.

Hence i've decided that CallMeRob & Genius will both answer 20 questions, each worth 30 points.

While Ambrit will answer 10 question, each worth 60 points. (She didn't have the chance to know who's in the finale, and wasted 120 points on MoJo)

Genius and Ambrit are neck-in-neck through the Roadblock and whoever finishes it first will be able to run to the finishing line and win Popo's The Amazing Race 9 Fantasy Game!

Genius speed through the Roadblock, but mixed up the position of the Russia and Germany flag.

Ambrit keep calm and thought carefully of the order of the different countries that she have visited, but missed the Italy flag and messed up the order.

CallMeRob is still driving his way to the Roadblock, but it seems that the race is down to between Ambrit and Genius!

In the end, it was Genius who finished the Roadblock first and he shrieked with excitement and ran to the finishing line, with Ambrit finishing the Roadblock task only second later! It's a FOOTRACE to the FINISHING LINE!

The eliminated players - LJB, xxsolitudexx, Deekeryu, Heather, Xochitl, LittleBoy, MK and Jupiter were all standing at the finishing line and cheering on for Ambrit and Genius!

In a last minute sprint to the pitstop, Ambrit overtook Genius and stepped onto the mat first.

Popo : "11 players, 9485 points and 1 winner"! AMBRIT, WITH 9485 POINTS, YOU ARE THE OFFICIAL WINNER OF POPO'S THE AMAZING RACE 9 FANTASY GAME!

Genius stepped onto the mat seconds later, breathless and disappointed..

What does "the best"....In this game you don't know who the best players are until you see who picked who which you can't decide if the people they pick ae good or not until after a couple episodes.
