Previously on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!...

The remaining 10 teams found themselves at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. From there, they encountered a detour, Art or Eat. In art, the teams needed to make their way to a local art museum and obtain a photograph from one of the curators there. Then, they had to search the thousands of paintings there for the name of the one painting in their photograph. In eat, teams needed to make their way to a local restaurant and eat a local delicacy-snails. Who will be eliminated next on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

*cue TAR music*

Roadblock: Who doesn't mind a needle in a haystack?

Go on a boat to the Ile de la Cite and cycle around the island to find the clue box, before getting a boat back. (PM me the name of the pictured building, on Ile de la Cite.)

Deadline is Monday, August 28, 2006 at approximately 9 PM EST.

Previously on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!...

The teams traveled deep into the heart of Paris and found Ile de la Cite, where they encountered their first roadblock. That person had to search the perimeter of the isle for the cluebox. Only 10 teams remain. Who will be eliminated next on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

*cue TAR music*

ROUTE INFO: Go to the pitstop-the Eiffel Tower.

The scoring went as follows:

FLIGHT 1: +6
FLIGHT 2: +4

Detour:
Art: +6
Eat: +4
Not selecting Detour: +8

Roadblock: +1, based upon real time (ex. Bob was the first to PM me the answer, therefore getting +1, Sue was the second to PM me the answer, therefore getting +2)
Not selecting Roadblock +11 (one extra than last place)

And the results..

Eric/Jeremy 15 points (tie)
Nancy/Emily -15 points (tie)
Chris/Alex 16 points (tie)
John Vito/Jill 16 points (tie)

Might I add, that because CallMeRob and ArchAngel did not participate in the first leg, I gave them both 32 points.

In third place, with 29 points is..

In fourth place, with a very close 30 points is

In sixth place, with a mediocre 35 points is.

In seventh place, with 42 points is

In eigth place, with 44 points is

In ninth place, with 45 points is..

Wanda/Desiree (LittleBoy)

In last place, with 47 points is Eric/Jeremy (CallMeRob)

I am sorry to say, you have been eliminated from the race.

The next leg will begin on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at exactly 9 PM EST.

Let me remind you that it is VERY important to compete in every route marker in every leg. In this instance, that is exactly what it came down to.

That was not fair. I did my job this week, and I did well this week. If I knew, I would have done better. It's unfair to give me something to that, because I did not vene know this started last week. I was never informed.

Question: If we miss a deadline, should we still respond? (I am not on this site everyday). I would have answered the detour, but what's the point if I'm going to be penalized anyway?
