Previously, on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!...
 
The final three teams left exotic Cape Town, South Africa to modern Brasilia, Brazil, which is a planned city developed in the 1950's, where they had to find the Palace of the Dawn. Only three teams remain. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?
 
*cue TAR music*
 
The teams arrived in Brasilia and the Palace of the Dawn in the following order:
1. Chris and Alex (+2)    
2. Nancy/Emily (+4)  
3. Joesph and Monica (+6)
 
Roadblock: Who can get around an unknown place?
 
Team member must collect a Polaroid camera and using a map, go around Brasilia looking for 5 plastic cards with the Amazing Race logo on it. The locations of the 5 places are: the Plaza of the Three Powers, Brasilia Railway Station, the National Congress, beside a shop in the main commercial sector and outside a house in the main residential zone. They must take a photo of each location, clearly showing the different locations. Then, go back to the Palace of the Dawn and show the 5 photos to a supervisor, who will give them their next clue.
 
(PM me a quick paragraph talking about one of the places visited thusfar in Brasilia, Brazil.)
 
Deadline is Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 4 PM EST.

The teams arrived at the roadblock in the following order:
 
Chris and Alex (+2)
Joseph and Monica (+4)
Nancy and Emily (+6)
 
DETOUR: Row Fast or Show Fast
In row fast, go to the lake beside the Palace of the Dawn, get into a row boat and row along a marked course to a treasure chest with the next clue envelope. Then, row to shore nearby.
 
(PM me a picture of a lake next to a skyscraper.)
 
In Show Fast, drive a motorized buggy around the lake beside Palace of the Dawn and find a table with 36 cards. These cards must be used to play a game of Pairs. There are 18 pairs, each with pictures of Brazilian landmarks. Once one of the team finds a pair, a supervisor will tell them where to go to find the next clue box: on a tree trunk near the back of the Palace, which they must drive their buggy to.  
 
(PM me a picture of a TAR clue box)
 
Deadline and pitstop is Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 8 PM EST.

The three remaining teams encountered the detour in Brasilia, Brazil, which required them to Row Fast or Show Fast. In the end, only one team will win. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

The teams arrived at the detour in the following order:
 
Chris and Alex
Nancy and Emily
Joseph and Monica
 
all chose Row Fast, so they will receive +3, +6, and +9, respectively
 
Route Info: Make your way to the pitstop - Catedral Metropolitana.
 

 
Let's take a look at the standings thusfar...
 
Chris and Alex - +59  
Nancy and Emily - +69  
Joseph and Monica - +92
 
the gap has widened, but there are still the totals from the first part of the leg to add to this later!
 
Previously, on The Amazing Race: Make a Route!...
 
The three teams checked in at the pitstop, with Chris and Alex continuing their lead. Joseph and Monica wound up in last again...can they dig themselves out in time enough to win the race? Three teams remain. Who will win The Amazing Race: Make a Route!?

The teams arrived at the fort in the following order:
 
Chris and Alex (+2)
Nancy and Emily (+4)
Joseph and Monica (+6)
 
DETOUR: In or Out
In IN, go into the College of Arts, Science and Technology and using a guide map of the school, find 20 classrooms and hand an attendance register to each of the waiting teachers and professors.
 
(Give me the names of two museums with names of people in them.)
 
In OUT, go into the field besides the College of Arts, Science and Technology and take part in an assault course specially set up for this Race.  
 
(Give me the address of the school.)
 
Roadblock: Which of you doesn’t mind a bit of hard labour?
 
Go to Kingston Harbour and find the ship that exports bananas. Then, carry 20 crates one by one onto the ship and onto a large square marked with their team names. After all 20 crates are on the square, find one man below deck who has the next clue.

Remember you must do the roadblock AND detour!!!!

for not completing the roadblock, Joseph and Monica receive +7
 
The teams completed the detour in the following order:
 
IN
1. Nancy and Emily (+3)
2. Chris and Alex (+4)
 
for not completing the detour, Joseph and Monica receive +7
 
ROUTE INFO: Go to the pitstop, Palisadoes, a large sandpit in the harbour.
 

 
For this leg, the teams arrived in the following order:
 
Chris and Alex - +69  
Nancy and Emily - +76  
Joseph and Monica - +112  
 
With only the final leg remaining, can Chris and Alex maintain their lead and win? Or can Joseph and Monica pull a hat trick and emerge as the winners? You can only find out, by being there for the finale, begining Monday, November 27, 2006 at 7 PM EST.
