Teams finished the detour in the following order:

Kami and Karli
Lena and Kristy
Uchenna and Joyce
Wanda and Desiree

Clue: Drive to the Pit Stop: Port Arthur Penitentiary in Port Arthur, Tasmania. Note: The last team to arrive may be eliminated.

Teams will now have to drive 268 miles through the countryside of Tasmania to Port Arthur and then search on foot for the pit stop.

Teams arrive at the pit stop in the following order:
1. Kami and Karli

2. Lena and Kristy

3. Uchenna and Joyce

4. Wanda and Desiree

Wanda and Desiree, you are the last team to arrive. I'm sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the race.

Kami and Karli, Lena and Kristy, Uchenna and Joyce: You are the three teams who will be racing to the finish line for the one million dollar prize.

THIS WILL BE THE LONGEST FINAL LEG IN TAR HISTORY:

THE ENTIRE LEG WILL BE 11,936 MILES OF TRAVEL, THROUGH 5 STATES, AND WILL INCLUDE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CHALLENGES

So far on this season of the Amazing Race, fifteen teams left from Fort Jefferson, in Dry Tortugas National Park and have raced 48,949 miles to Port Arthur in Tasmania. Teams have faced many challenges while racing through Canada, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Spain, France, Egypt, Denmark, Germany, Mongolia, Laos, Vietnam, New Zealand, the Philippines and Australia. Twelve teams have been eliminated Ken and Gerard, Debbie and Bianca, Kelly and Jon, Fran and Barry, Reichen and Chip, Hayden and Aaron, Mary and Peach, Gus and Hera, Chip and Kim, Joseph and Monica, Nancy and Emily, and Wanda and Desiree. Married couple Uchenna and Joyce has had dominance throughout the race, winning five legs and finishing in the top three in the last eleven legs. However, will they be able to come out of last place and win the race?? Sisters Lena and Kristy faced trouble early in the race nearly being eliminated twice in Spain and Denmark. However, they have been consistent since leg 8, also finishing in the top three in every leg since. Finally, twins Kami and Karli were consistently in the middle of the pack, not winning a leg to the previous leg. Will they be able to stay in first all the way to the finish line? These questions will be answered the Amazing Race finale will begin.

Leg 16

This is Port Arthur, a small convict settlement in southeastern Tasmania. One of Australias most significant heritage areas, Port Arthur has become a major tourist attraction in Tasmania. The penitentiary, located on the Tasmanian Sea, is the fifteenth and final pit stop in a race around the world.

Teams left in the following order:
1. Kami and Karli (2:13 AM)
2. Lena and Kristy (2:27 AM)
3. Uchenna and Joyce (2:34 AM)

Clue: Take a ferry to the Isle of the Dead. Once there, use a map to search among one thousand unmarked graves for the one of the three with a race flag for your next clue.
