No one's stopping you from starting your game.

I say you start the sign ups now and see if you can get enough people to start your game. Besides, there are those that have been eliminated in other games here and would like to play in a new one, and it's not like these games need your attention 24/7.

If there are FF on every leg, it would not be as fun. It's really pointless to see a team get first with FF and get eliminated on the very next leg.

Agree - RaCeDuDe, why is there a fast forward in every leg on the trivia game. It makes all of everyone else's picks irrevelant for the leg except for the person who did the worse.

The Amazing Race: Me And My Friends

From the guy who gave the route of TAR: Make A Route...........

I present you with:

The Amazing Race: Me and My Friends!

Hey there, it's t, and I have a brand new Amazing Race roleplay for you!

It is different to any other. Let me tell you why:

1. There are 15 legs of the race.
2. All continents except Antarctica are visited.
3. Unique tasks will be performed as part of the race.
4. And most importantly.....................

your team consists of YOU AND YOUR FAVORITE TAR TEAM!

So, you will be a team of 3!

Let me tell you how the Race works:

Route Info

At the start of every leg (except one) there will be a clue of a flight to the next destination (and possibly saying where to go once in that destination.) For flights, you sign-up to a list, with limited space.

In all other Route Info clues, there may be the following:

1. An instruction to decide on a mode of transport. These will cost different sums of your team's money. Make a wise choice.

2. A task that involves finding a fact on the city. This could be a text answer or maybe sending me a picture. If you send in a wrong answer/picture, then your times getting to the next place in the city of the Race will be doubled.

For both of these, I have decided on times getting to the next place. Some transports are faster, but getting wrong answers doubles that time. For example, imagine 3 teams take a bus. The first team to choose a bus takes e.g. 12 minutes to get there, the 2nd team takes 14, the 3rd team takes 16.

These will always go up in 2. If choosing transport isn't given, you will probably be driving.

Detour

There will always be 2 tasks. One easier, one harder. You may only choose one task and do what it says on the clue. The harder task will always add on less time to your team. If you get a wrong answer, your time is doubled.

Road Block

No team-member may perform more than 5 Road Blocks on the entire race. There will be Road Blocks on every leg except the first.

For these, I first give the Road Block hint question. Then, each team signs-up saying who will perform this Road Block.

Then, I give the task. Any wrong answers = doubled time.

Fast Forward

There are 3 Fast Forwards in this race, you can only use it once. It shall be posted with a regular Route Info or Detour. If you take part in a Fast Forward, also take part in the Route Info/Detour just in case you don't win. If you win it, I send you the winning clue. If not, I PM you saying so.

Yield

There are only 3 Yields on the race. When there is a Yield, no other clue is given. For this, each team PMs me saying whether they want to Yield or not. If they do, they state who they want to Yield.

However, since you will not know who is ahead of you, your Yield plot may be ruined. You can only Yield once.

Pit Stop

During each leg, the only hint about team positions is when I state what order the flights land. There will be 8 elimination legs before the final leg. The other 6 before the final leg may be non-elims or TBCs. I shall announce the results and say if the last team is eliminated.

Unmentioned bits and bobs

If a team finishes last on a non-elim, they lose all money and don't get any for the next leg of the race. However, every other team MUST give at least $1 to that team.

Money will be given at the start of every leg.

During a leg, you may wish to post commentary in the thread, as if your team is talking during their race. For these, include all members of the team. Try to include funny stuff, but don't give answers to clues or reveal how you think you are doing.

Confused? Don't worry, during this game we shall go step by step, I will continue to state rules for each clue, so you won't forget what to do.

SIGN-UPS

As I said, it is you and an Amazing Race team of two. If you want, you can pick 2 members from an TAR8 family to race with. If not, a 2 person-team from TAR1-7 and 9-10 is fine.

To sign-up, follow this example:

If you yield someone who is ahead of you does that waste your yield.

No, it just doesn't work. You will be able to use your Yield at a later date.
