Teams drove to Stewaicke, about 3 hours from Digby
TARfan1 and Elizabeth - 3 hours
MK and Heather - 3 hours and 5 minutes
Peetah and t - 3 hours and 10 minutes      
ImANewUser and sun7kid - 3 hours and 15 minutes  
FunnyBunny and RaCeDuDe - 3 hours and 20 minutes
 
Congratulations to Beepboop and Mcrone, the winners of the fast forward. They can skip all tasks and go directly to the pit stop.
    
Team Vaguely Related opens their next clue:
 
Detour: Water or Mud
 
Water: In this task, drive to the city of South Maitland and find the Shubenacadie River Adventure Tours Ltd. Once there, teams will have to complete a 3 mile course in river rafting to receive their clue.
 
 
 
Go to this site: http://www.gcrg.org/bqr/6-3/hydraulic.htm. Read these sections: Debris Flows, River reshapes the river, and Hydraulic Jumps. Then, each team member will need to write a short paragraph summarizing the sections, explaining how rapids influence rivers and how different types of debris can shape a river, in terms of speed and velocity. PM me your paragraph. They can be similar but not exactly the same word for word. More in depth answers will result in a shorter time.                                                                                      
 
Mud: In this task, drive to the city of South Maitland and find the Shubenacadie River Adventure Tours Ltd. Once there, each team member will have to complete a mud slide down the river bank. At certain times, this can turn into a 25 foot slide at angles of 45-55 degrees. Once teams reach the bottom, they will receive their next clue.
 
 
 
Go to this site: http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/k/a/kac373/kelly1.html. Examine the provided information and write up a short paragraph explaining how mudslides occur and what factors affect how destructive they can be. Both team members need to send in a paragraph. They can be similar but not exactly the same word for word. More in depth answers will result in a shorter time.
