There were 2 shots of Singapore on the Intro as well. One on the FOUNTAIN OF WEALTH at SUNTEC CITY and the other at the skyline of Marina Bay, near the esplanade.

Spoilers from June have also shown that asian teams were spotted on an Airplane from New Zealand, en route to Singapore. Perhaps, Singapore is a destination for TAR ASIA, and is after a New Zealand/Australia leg?

And if Indonesia is a destination, then TAR:ASIA would have visited a country not yet visited by the international version. =)

Turkey is an Asian country not European....

yeah I agree the 4th row 3rd pic seems like a Palawan island in the Philippines.... but.. it may be in Thailand also...

anyways... how come they would go to New Zealand and the US when this is TAR Asia, where from the beginning they have stated that they will cover only Asia and maybe Australia (which is another continent)...

ohh.. I remember that prior to the announcement of the official racers.. Aubrey Miles (Aubrey/Jacqueline) had already spilled some beans on TAR... the local entertainment press already knew she was in the race a month before the official announcement...

and there were already talks that they were first eliminated in Kuala Lumpur...

I watched the new season of 5 Takes which featured travel journalists from the Asia-Pacific region, and boy was I disappointed. Seems that Asians are not half as interesting as their American counterparts.

The reason I'm saying this is bcoz i spotted this while I was driving a few months back:

Sorry for the blurry pic... Took it using my camera-phone while i was driving... Anyways, it is clear enough to show the amazing race route marker on a "Persiaran Sukan" sign.. Persiaran Sukan is the road that loops around Shah Alam Stadium, and "sukan" is the malay word for sports.... While I was watching the videos on MSN soapbox, I couldn't help noticing one familiar area one of the teams were driving through:

In the photo you can notice the roofline of the building, and it looks like the roofline of several blocks of huge apartment buildings which are in Section 13, Shah Alam.. The palm trees that line up the road are also quite familiar, coz I pass that road almost daily... heheh

Here's a google earth screencap to help describe the area:

The yellow 'X' is where the route marker was placed... The red 'X' is the position where I think the team in the photo above were at... The go kart circuit is just above the red 'X', and the structure with the grey roof is the Shah Alam stadium...

Just to give a rough idea on when they did the shooting, the photo of the route marker that i spotted above was taken on 22nd May 2006, 5.33pm...

In this screencap(kuala lumpur, in front of pudu jail, near berjaya times square), there's a bunting of the NAM Coordinating Bureau Ministerial Meeting, which took place between 27 & 30 May... Those buntings are usually placed 1 or 2 weeks before the actual event, so the timeframe is pretty accurate.... They were in Kuala Lumpur around mid-May :lol:

I'm just a noobie in this investigating thing, but i find it interesting... hehehe.... It's more exciting to know that they came to where I live... but it's damn frustrating that I didn't spot the teams... haha... I would've driven one team throughout the whole Malaysian leg of the race if i had the opportunity.... Owh, I wanted to steal the route marker but something somewhere somehow told me "NO! The teams would get lost!"... the next morning I wanted to go back and steal it but it wasn't there anymore.... Cry

I don't think Sandy will quit the Roadblock. Francesca is waiting for Sandy here.

I don't think Howard will quit it either because he was spotted in New Zealand

There's a bunching at the airport. If any team quits then they'll lose.
So it's a battle between Andy/Laura (THA/UK) and Zabrina/Joe Jer (MAL).

Laura got hurt so maybe Andy have to quit and take her to the hospital

or Zabrina/Joe Jer (MAL) quit.

I think this means Andy/Laura and SanFran are out as they are viewed as strong. Possibly Andrew and Syeon as well. I think that this 'not who you expect' idea makes it very likely that an unlikely underdog like Mardy/Marsio, Howard/Sahran, or Zabrina/Joe Jer will win.

I think it's obvious SanFran at least make F4 or F3, as Fransceca said something about how the heat will be on when they are down to just four teams. Why would they put that on if they didn't make it that far? The story arc seems to fit.

This is what I think.

1st: An underdog team. Possibly Zabrina/Joe Jer.
2nd: Andy/Laura - the 'unlucky' arc has the stage set for getting THIS close, but then missing out on the prize.
3rd: Sandy/Francesca - I just got a 3rd vibe from them.
4th: Andrew/Syeon - I think they'll be 4th.
5th: Another underdog. Possibly Mardy/Marsio
6th: Another underdog. Possibly Howard/Sahran

This may be true, but I think that certain story arcs are really easy to predict, though. Andy and Laura are so OBVIOUSLY going to be second, with their unlucky spiel.

I honestly think that they both are better people then that. I'm sure they realize that it's just a game and Sancesca did nothing wrong. I think they probably don't mind anymore.
