I still prefer the USA version.

The editing is pretty bad. How can a team which came in 6th not get more face time than teams coming in 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th?

It's so obvious Sharon and Melody will be eliminated next! I'll be surprise if they aren't!

For some reasons, the excitement seems to be less than the American version. Maybe it's because of the background music. And for the host, it's quite annoying about the way he greets the teams at the pitstop.

However, he'll get better. I hope. The teams are very interesting and with ten you get to know them better. Of course, the editing was weird. [Who are Sahil and Prashant, again?] People should remember that this is a first outing and they're still learning. I'm impressed and look forward to the rest of the season!

yeah... I find the original US version far better.. TARA's editing is bad... there are dull moments.. Allan's annoying suspense and narration...and they have not written good captions on the team standing along the race... and they don't translate some of the words... and yeah some of the background music is inappropriate and lacks suspense or the sense of urgency like those scenes in painting batik...

actually our teams (Ernie and Jeena and Aubrey and Jacqueline) had instances where they have spoken Filipino and there was no translation...

regarding the batik painting, I'm disappointed that the lady in the Batik task allows teams to get their clues eventhough their work is bad...

but anyways.. I enjoyed the show eventhough it still need a lot of improvements...

IRC's not that safe in Singapore for us. I can't do that.

The Singapore government just will be able to track you down if you are downloading something from IRC and you'll be fined for that.

However, if i am able to get hold of the episode. I'll try and see if i can break them down into smaller parts and put them on youtube. Grin

I thought it was a good episode! I liked all the teams, they were all unique and fresh. You know they're new to this because they don't care what they say on TV, even if it makes them look stupid.

Right now my ~~final~~ favorite 3 teams are:

1. Ernie and Jeena - they were portrayed as a strong team, and their airtime was a bit high. I think they want us to remember them.
2. Andrew and Syeona - maybe they got some airtime because they were in their hometown, but they stood out for me because they sounded like natural racers. And even though they need to read their clues more clearly, they have that skepticism that will hopefully get them far. And I like Syeona!!!
3. Andy and Laura - I didn't think I'd like the British team because they're not really Asians but I thought they were cute, and I like it when they said they're the unlucky team because whenever something bad happens, it's going to happen to them. I feel for them because I've been there before myself. lol

I totally agree with everyone about Allan Wu. He needs to study where to pause when saying something.

Allan: "You are team number..."
Racer: "..."
Allan: "..."
Racer: Huh

Allan: "5!"
Racer: "5 what?"
Allan: "You're team number 5."
Racer: "OH!! YAY!"

What I have always wanted, a NEL on the first leg! I kinda like Sandy and Fran, so the NEL is fine with me.

The editing isn't very good, but still generally OK.

It would be better if the race started at a remote place outside of KL to make the race more interesting. It was kinda nice to smack the racers with such a challenging task right after it started.

Now I'm rooting for (and in this order)
