Aw...come on, now, Shamon.  It was indeed tedious in some of the parts but I think reading up on Howard Hughes helps give more of an appreciation to the movie.  I thought Dicapprio did a good acting job in it.

The Aviator was an EXCELLENT movie.  Leo did a wonderful acting job of  
capturing the obcessive personality of Hughes.  Cate Blanchett also did  
a wonderful impersonating Hepburn!
 
It makes sense if one doesn't know any of the bio on Howard Hughes  
it might not be understood and enjoyed.  I've read his Biography, know  
about his obsesssive behavior and his Genius mind, albeit weird to some.
Inventing the underwire bra must have been atwist for the designers of  
is aircraft/tool company!
 
Read some on him, then watch the movie again.  
Your view will be different, I would think!
 
All in all, it proves MONEY doesn't conquer love and or good health!
As he died basically alone on the 7th floor of the Princess Hotel in Acapulco!

YT, Howard 'discovered' Jane Russell and cast her in "The Outlaw".
He wanted her breasts to look as they did when he first met her, up, out and standing at attention.  This was for the BIG scene in the hay!

Was actually quite good, but i think the "chemistry" between Brad and Jolie was slighlty exaggerated

Just checking the PPV channels and Aviator and National Treasure are playing.  I will watch both and give a review.  
 
I really am not big on Leo at ALL, but he was nominated for an Oscar so it can't possibly be all that bad.  Can it?   Wink
