I didn't find it too boring. I was expecting plot setup for the season finale so maybe that was the difference.
 
They are still dangling the Kate Carrot in front of our face. We still don't know exactly what she did to be on the run (unless I missed it) but now we know more about the toy airplane she carries around.

I find nothing boring about any of the episodes. Especially the ones where Sawyer is half-nekkid.
