FOUND! LOST CLUE: Remember the second-season Lost spoiler I hinted at in last week's Ask Ausiello concerning Oceanic Airlines passenger Ana-Lucia Cortez, played by Michelle Rodriguez? Well, you can probably guess what the big twist is, now that ABC is confirming that the Girlfight actress will return next fall as a full-time series regular.

Abrams KROQ Interview

During a radio interview for L.A. rock station KROQ, Lost creator J.J. Abrams said that the network and one of the actors on the show couldn't agree to terms on a new contract and therefore the actor will be payed his desired rate for one or two episodes and then he said the actor will be killed off the show and won't be featured in any flashback sequences. Abrams also talked a little bit about the Ana-Lucia character and he confirmed that Michelle Rodriguez would be a full time castmember in season two. He said a writer named Carlton Cuse was researching Che Guevara because of Ana-Lucia's leadership storyline. The only other thing he mentioned was that the characters on the raft eventually return to the island but it's not the part of the island they were hoping for.

I bet that must have been Arzdt (or however you spell it) because they were originally saying he would be back in the second season, but then they offed him suddenly in the finale.

There's supposed to be another death in October - most of the speculation I've seen is that THIS is the death he was talking about. Rumours abound as to who it might be..

Arzt in season 2 could be flashbacks??

well about the hatch.. spoilerfix.com says what's in the hatch will have an effect on Locke, that doesn't help much but it's still a spoiler

And there's speculation about cloning, due to the twin thing. Also LOTS of speculation about nanotechnology floating around... I read an interview from one of the writers - he said he doesn't even know what's going to happen... LOL. He said these are the things they know:
They know where they are
They know what the "Creature" is
They know what it is on the island that the creature is guarding.
and
They know how it's supposed to end.

Other than that - they make changes and create as they go. No one in the cast has any idea what is going on until they get the next script, not even the background of their characters.

My favorite place for LOST discussion is The Fuselage - but it's deep discussion and lots of theories and people who do major research on locations and numbers and names...
