Attention, "Survivor" fans: If you're dying to ask Vecepia what she's doing with the million dollars or you just want to ogle at Sarah, here's your chance.

The 16 cast members of the CBS reality show "Survivor: Marquesas" will be in Omaha this weekend to raise money for the Nebraska AIDS Project.

The event is being organized by Omaha "Survivor" contestant John Carroll.

Among the weekend's highlights are a softball game today in which "Survivor's" Rotu and Maraamu tribes will compete against each other, along with local celebrities.

Saturday's events include an autograph session at Crossroads Mall, presentations on Marquesan culture and dancing demonstrations.

Carroll, who turns 37 today, said he wanted to organize the reunion and fund-raiser because AIDS awareness is an important issue.

"AIDS is still a dirty four-letter word," he said. "Silence has always equaled death in this pandemic."

Michael Jones, director of development for the Nebraska AIDS Project, said he is thrilled that Carroll is helping with the cause.

"It comes as no surprise," Jones said, "given John's decade-long commitment to the battle against HIV."

Carroll said he is looking forward to introducing his "Survivor" friends to his hometown.

"Many people see the Midwest as backward, very rural and rather unsophisticated," Carroll said. "I want to show my friends that those people are wrong. I want to show the cast how diverse, interesting and generous my community is."
