'Survivor' Colby Stars in PAX Feature
Thu, Sep 19, 2002 05:53 PM PDT

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Hunky Texan Colby Donaldson may have lost on CBS' "Survivor: The Australian Outback," but he has won a role in an upcoming television movie on PAX.

"Time and Again," a new feature made for the network, focuses on ageism and cosmetic surgery in the television news business. The film will air in November as part of PAX's Friday Night Flix series.

"thirtysomething" actress Mel Harris stars as Diana Downs, a news anchor who is fired when her boss decides she is too old. After she reinvents herself as a younger woman with the aid of plastic surgery, Diana lands a job at a news station in a new town. Perry King ("Rip Tide" ) and Sally Kirkland ("Anna) play her coworkers and Dick Van Patten (" Eight is Enough") stars as Diana's aging father.

Donaldson is cast as Diana's son-in-law, who faces marital problems when his wife Libby takes a job with her mother at the news station, posing as her sister. This is his first acting credit outside of the " Survivor" series. Many fans of the CBS reality show were certain that Donaldson would walk away with the $1 million prize. Instead he selected his friend and chief competitor, Tina Wesson, to join him in the final two and finished as the first runner-up."
