Survivor 5 to air in Australia

Thai Survivor to land here

AFTER uncertainty as to when it would be screened, Channel 9 has confirmed the air date for the fifth series of reality TV hit Survivor.
The American production of Survivor Thailand, which will see 16 castaways, above, battle the elements on the Thai island of Tarutao, will screen from Thursday, October 17 at 9.30pm.
Following the premiere, Nine will screen a two-hour instalment of the show on Saturday, October 19 at 8.30pm.
The special will bring the network into line with the episodes of the program broadcast in the US.
Australian viewers have only seen three versions of Survivor - the last American series, filmed on the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia, was not screened here because it clashed with the production of Nine's Australian Survivor, which produced only disappointing ratings.
