Fat around the belly can cause serious health risks. According to Harvard Health Publications, researches have found that certain fat cells around the belly are active endocrine glands that secrete hormones. These hormones have been linked to a wide range of diseases. There may not be a fast, overnight solution to your belly fat, but ridding your body of excess belly fat is crucial to your health. Lifestyle changes are the only healthy, long-term solution to reducing your belly fat.
 
How to Battle the Bulge
