Twenty-six Adidas Gazelle Mujer years ago, Nike revolutionised the way people perceived cushioning in footwear by making it visible in the Air Max 1. Though born on American shores for runners, the technology soon spread the world over and became a sporting and style icon. Inspired by the enduring impact that the Max series has made on music and fashion culture in Europe, Nike have created this all-encompassing Nike Air Max 2016 Heren European Cities Pack, dedicating a spread of silhouettes to a trio of Euro cities – London, Milan and Paris.
For the English capital, Nike took inspiration from the grit of old London and set it against the vibrancy of their public transport system. The models include a Nike Air Max 1 HYP, Nike Air Max 90 HYP, Nike Air Max 1 2013 and the Nike Air Max 95.
Over in the Asics Gel Quantum 360 Womens Milan pack, a collective of Air Maxs are treated to a spectrum of neon pops offset against muted Nike Air Max Command Donna Bianche uppers, which contrasts the energy of the Milan fashion and art scenes with the city’s storied architecture. Silhouettes include the Air Max 97 2013, Air Max 1, Air Max 97 and Air Max 90.
Finally, the Parisian portion of this bubblicious bundle comprises a quartet of refined Max renditions, Nike Air Max Classic BW Donna featuring subtle style touches including waxed laces and washed-out accents that Nike Air Max Command Donna personify French style. The patriotic-coloured collection includes an Air Max Classic BW, Air Max 90, Air Max 2013 and an Air Max 1 HYP.
2017 is certainly looking like the year of the AM with wave after wave of freshness lapping into stores.
Fresh-faced fusion wonder child, the Nike Air Max Mercurial R9, mixes a classic soccer cleat originally designed for Brazilian striker Nike Air Max 2016 Donna Ronaldo, with a street-ready Air Max outsole. After recent R9 drops in white and black, the Swoosh team flick back through the sneaker’s lineage to deliver an OG version in silver, blue and yellow – the same colourway originally rocked by the great bald one way back in 1998. Featuring a Hyperfuse mesh upper, generous Air bag in the heel and a blinding reflective silver complexion; Nike Air Huarache Donna this retro-rocket is sure to kick it off with soccer fans (and magpies).
