Without a shadow of a doubt, the Nike Air Max 1 “atmos Elephant” was one of the biggest re-releases we’ve seen this year. If you were one of many who missed out on this huge drop, atmos and Barneys New York is giving you yet another chance to cop the beloved low-top sneaker — that’s if you’re currently in Shinjuku, Nike Air Max Thea Damen Japan. The forthcoming delivery pays tribute to the Nike Air Max 2017 Damen high-end retailer’s grand reopening at the end of the month via a Adidas Superstar Damen Blumen collaborative pop-up dubbed “atmos Meets Barneys New York.” Alongside the Elephants, fans can also nab the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” and the Air More Uptempo “Hoop,” as well as other Swoosh wares.
To no surprise, the winner of Nike’s Air Max Vote Back contest is the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant.” Originally released in 2006 to overwhelming success, the classic silhouette is adorned with vibrant elephant print around the upper and a bright blue-green swoosh and Nike branding on the heel thanks to the world renown Japanese boutique. No word yet on if there will be any differentiation or on the shoe’s pricing, but you voted for it and you got it.
Nike recently unveiled its upcoming Air Max Day Collection, Nike Air Max Thea Mujer teasing eight different variations of the classic silhouette, Adidas Superstar Donne including the Air Max 1 “Atmos Elephant.” Crowned as the winner of the 2016 Vote Back contest, official images of the beloved colorway have been released. Initially launched in 2006 as part of a “Zoo Pack” collection, we see that the original design remains intact, along with eye-catching details such as jade-colored accents and a gray elephant texture throughout the shoe.
The Air Max 1 Patch Collection is one of the more unique releases coming out of NikeLab this season. Here we get a closer look at the shoe, which features a premium canvas upper, synthetic mudguard, and an American flag on the interior footbed. The shoes also come packaged with 22 patches that pay homage to key people, places and moments in the Air Max’s history, and can be applied to the Nike Air Max Thea Dames shoe’s Velcro tongue and/or heel cap for a personalized look.
Nike Nike Roshe Run Dames recently unveiled the Nike Air Max 1 Deluxe “Hyper Cobalt Safari,” a dashing iteration to the classic ’80s runner. Here we get a closer look at the enticing design that boasts a premium safari-embossed leather construction, while suede hits at the Swoosh, heel and forefoot offer elegant accents elsewhere. A contrasting white midsole and subtle blue hits round out the sneaker with a classic look.
