The Adidas ZX Flux is a new footwear model by adidas and is inspired by the classic adidas ZX 8000 running shoe. Since its debut in 2014, several colorways and material combinations including Primeknit, Xeno, mesh, snakeskin, and graphic print have been released.
Adidas Originals has been thriving off of the momentum found in their woven sock-like Nike Air Vapormax Femme uppers over the past year, and the trend Nike Air Max Thea Womens only continues to grow until it reaches critical mass. For those of you missing the days of the adidas ZX Flux dating back to 2013, it’s nice to know that adidas hasn’t completely forgotten about the retro running-inspired lifestyle model. Today we get a look at the freshly minted adidas ZX Flux Virtue Sock which blends the latest trend of woven slip-on uppers with lingering inspirations from the ZX Flux. The heel cage is missing and replaced by a simple suede panel while the blocky midsole is slimmed down for a more Tubular-like feel. A seamless Primeknit upper adds breathability, but the model also comes in a non-PK mesh variety as well.
The adidas ZX Flux just put on its best Easter outfit with this new edition for the ladies featuring a lovely floral upper. The soft pastel tones of the Nike Air Huarache Mujer various flowers pictured are accompanied by a suede heel counter (usually plastic) for an extra premium touch. The stripes, laces, and sole units all come in bright white to keep these nice and light for a perfect springtime look. Expect the floral and suede women’s ZX Flux to his select adidas Originals retailers soon.
