American Idol judge Simon Cowell has doomed a wannabe singer's chance of winning the reality Tv talent show contest. Cowell has revealed he'll quit the show if he wins.
The acid-tongued British svengali was admittaly stunned when contestant Sanjaya Malakar beat rocker Sundance Head for a place in the final 12 on Thursday night.

Aww poor Sanjaya. You can't deny that he really can't sing, though. If someone like him were to win American Idol, what would future seasons be like? As for him being put into the Top24, well... he might have not been that bad previously. He has kind of a unique voice, but now, his performances are really not up to standard and are REALLY boring.

I disagree, his tone is very nice. He does not hit bad notes, and most of us were really rooting for him in the beginning. The problem is that he's too timid and his voice is just drowned out on the big stage. He's not a bad singer, but he's a terrible performer.

Let's all play nicely. I don't like Sanjaya either. My sister calls him "the girl boy" which cracks me up. On the other hand, this is my least favorite season of AI. And one of the few things I look forward to is seeing what he will come up with next.

Lol! I honestly think most of his votes are coming in from the teenage girls who just think he's 'hot' or whatever.....Drooling over him like that one girl last week. Hell, she was on camera more then he was. I bet FOX planted her in there to purposely do that so he could feel good. :laff:

Anyone see SNL this week? IN the midst of the Weekend Update "Sanjaya" came in and started singing... can't remember who played the part, but it was funny... they cut to the audience and they're all crying...

I feel sorry for the kid.. Actually, there's many who think that the Indian community is voting for him... because he definitely has that "Indian" sound... who knows.. but as we all know, the first ten to go, it doesn't really matter so much the order.. as long as the proper two end up at the end... other than those two... or maybe three.. it's pretty much irrelevant what order they get booted in...
