Hi!
 
Did anyone tape the finale?  The tape (or equivalent) on our digital box ran out and we missed taping the last half of the finale.   Cry  I saw the last half live but I sent my daughter to bed and promised her that she could watch it later.  If anyone can make a copy for me, please let me know.
 
By the way, what did you think of the ending?  I thought the talent was great this year and I liked both Kalan and Theresa.  I think I'm more of a Theresa type and I think that Kalan will definitely appeal to the teenyboppers.

So what happened?  Am headed to the home page now.  Am guessing Kalan won and Theresa came in 2nd.  What happened to the 3rd guy that I liked so much?

I ended up getting home form class in time to watch it so turned the tape off - oopsie!
 
Yes, Kalan won...Theresa placed second...and Jacob was third.
 
I guess there was some controversy in regards to Jacob's website - something about him getting more press than the others - CTV figured it was unfair - not sure on the whole story.  (go here http://www.96x.ca/cgi-bin/more?category=morningshow&id=100785 for his interview which touches on it)
 
Personally I do think that they will both be around for a while...definately longer than the one "hit" (if you can call it that) that we had with Ryan Malcom...Theresa is going to appeal to all those who adore Sarah McLaughlin and Jann Arden and Norah Jones.  I don't think she needs the idol title to do well.
 
I did like that this season showcased some real talent.  We didn't just have the "singers" that other countries had, we had true musicians!  To see the six (or was it five - I can't remember now) not only singing their tribute to Gordon Lightfoot, but playing the music for it as well - what a treat!

Hi, I'm new here. I've been looking for a happening forum for Jacob Hoggard and can't really find one. Except for the one on the CTV site anyway.  
 
Does anyone know of any other message boards?  
 
I personally don't have the show taped. I wish I did though..it would be cool to see it again. I now that someone is selling a DVD on ebay with the final episode. I guess they have one of those recorders or something. The price isn't to bad so I might get one to have. Shocked)

Just to let ya know...when they recorded the single a few weeks ago - the top three all recorded a version.  The radio station here got a hold of Jacobs version somehow and wow - he turned a mediocre song into one that rocked!
