MSO stock jumps after company announces plans for a daytime home entertainment talk show.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Martha Stewart is headed for daytime television.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced Wednesday that the queen of domesticity, now serving time in jail, will host a one-hour daily syndicated TV show on NBC starting next fall. The show will be taped live with a studio audience and will focus on consumer lifestyles.

Celebrity guests will help Martha discuss new cooking and entertaining ideas. The format is similar to the "Martha Stewart Living" daily syndicated show that went on hiatus earlier this year, with one exception: Stewart will interact with the audience.

"America loves comeback stories," said Mark Burnett, the show's producer. And Stewart, he added, is "a comeback story."

Stewart, 63, was convicted of hindering a government investigation of her personal stock sales. She is serving a five-month prison sentence in a minimum-security prison in West Virginia.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, her merchandising and publishing company, held a news conference Wednesday afternoon with NBC Universal television head Jeff Zucker and red-hot TV producer Mark Burnett. Zucker detailed the plans at the news conference.
