Woo hoo!  I'm so happy for Rupert and his family!  After taxes, he'll actually take home about $550,000 but I'm sure he's still elated!
 
What did you guys think of the show?  
 
I thought Jerri got too much air time--did she want some cheese with her whine? and I was glad to see that Rob C. got to have a few words.
 
Was it just me or did Jonny Fairplay seem a little plastered?

I do know his take after taxes will be somewhere in the seven hundred  thousand average.   Definitely enough to keep!

I am so happy for Rupert  as well.  Cool Cool Now if Amber can get rid of that growth on her side. ( Oh, that's right, when the money is gone, then "it" will go away! Lips Sealed Wink)  She seems to have no thoughts of her own!  This is her celebration and Rob should step back, no matter what she says.  Maybe he's afraid a good guy will step in........ Wink

hey Rupe,
I am glad that my lack of voting didnt affect the outcome...and since 38 million voted my little vote would have made it 38 million and 1..why spoil such a nice round number! Wink
 
It was very nice to see his family so happy, I especially loved how he went straight for his wife and scooped up his munchkin!...Big Tom also made me get all girlie emotional, very sweet!
 
And JP an ordained minister,who knew?!... I had no idea, interesting stuff.

I do believe this is the very first time in the history of survivor that the person i wanted to win, actually won...it was quite moving

I agree - Fairplay did look drunk (or something).  I once said he would have been good on the Allstars (only to see how the others treated him) ... but after having to look at him for 30 seconds last night I don't think I could have stomached 13 weeks!

Gotta love that Rupert won. I was terrified it would turn out like American Idol and the most deserving would not finish first.
 
Rupert may not have won either time but as to being the most deserving, he was the person with the strongest moral character to make it that far.
 
If he was not available for the vote I would have said Rob for the game he played. It may not have been very honest but he played the game the best and I have to give credit where it is due there.

Rupert's little munchkin is so cute.  Tongue  She looks like a mini (and cuter) version of him.  Wink
 
Kelby, since Rupert won anyway, you are totally forgiven for not placing your vote.
 
Now, if something could just be done about Jerri and her mouth...
 
David Bloomberg's article on the show last night over at SurvivorFever.com is so hilarious--especially his comments about her--you should go have a look.  I wouldn't have worded it any differently, had I written the article myself.
 
Did you just LOVE the way Jeff told the cast (aimed at Jerri, really) that they were free to leave on the spot if they didn't want to be there?  Then he told them he didn't want to hear any more complaining!  I LOVED IT!

Did you read the article in People magazine how he only makes 10-20,000 per year.
 
Ughhh.....what a nice guy, but it is time to make some more cash...
 
That is why they had that view show...so they could give it to Rupurt.

Unfortunately, the old addage "Nice guys finish last" is often too true in our society.  I'm glad to see that the nice guy in this scenario came away a winner...although, in my book, he already was a winner in several aspects.
