Things that make you go YUMM!

At lunch I stopped at the local farm and bought some fresh strawberries.  There is nothing like locally grown strawberries in the summertime.  I may eat them all before I go home and have to stop for more on the way home!

Did ya ever try growing those red beauties?  It's really easy.  Whether you plant them on their own garden mounds or strawberry pot - I'm telling you:  there is nothing better or deliciously refreshing than a handful of these homegrown fruits while doing those mundane outdoor chores - I'm talking weeding, folks.

Great thread!  I too had a chance to eat a few fresh picked strawberries last night.  Wednesday's day care class went strawberry picking yesterday on a day trip out of the city.  I admire those teachers taking 30 kids ages 2 to 5 to do this.  Awesome Job!  
 
She was so cute walking in the house with her little hand firmly around a full cup of strawberries and they smelled so sweet.

Must go back to the farm today - I believe Strawberry season is winding down and I must have my fix.  Over the weekend had strawberries and cool whip - YUMMY!
 
Also discovered some blueberry bushes in the woods behind my house.  Can't wait until those are ready!
