Christmas Holiday Party Today - Everyone Invited!

Well we have the coffee maker and the fair trade, hopefully shade grown, organic coffee to go in it.  We bought the coffee from a cool place called Alternative Grounds which turned out to be in our neighbourhood.  They had so many choices.  They were very gracious and helped me all along the way.
 
The beer and pop and juices and wine are all cool.  Thank goodness for winter weather - most of it is on the back porch with some in our second fridge in the basement.  
 
 
The gingerbread house is put together and ready for decorating by tiny hands with sugar plums and candies of children's dreams.
 
The Christmas carols are on the piano ready to be sung.  The Christmas tree is decorated and this morning I am setting out the snacks and waiting for the delivery of the platters of sandwiches and veggies.
 
Oh - sounds like my little one is awake I just heard the words "Yippee the party's today!!"  
 
So please enjoy yourselves.  The coffee is hot -  you take your chances though because I am testing my coffee making abilities here.   If you come early you can help set things out - or just come in the afternoon for fun, singing, food and drinks.  Bring your families we have someone to watch over the children and children's activities.

the carol of the bells was a huge success.  Just want everyone to know that Muslims, Christians and atheists all sat together and shared in the holiday spirit of friendship, neighbourliness and family.  We all sang Christmas carols together young and old.  It was christmas true Christmas spirit _ sharing old memories and creating new ones.

Addams, that's what it's all about.  It sounds like a lovely party.  Wish I had been able to stop by in person, I could use a good dose of Holiday spirit.

Irishlass I hope you find that special moment for you that means Christmas too.  I know you will.
 
To be honest, up until tonight after everyone left -  I had been pretty bah humbug myself about Christmas.  We got to stay home today, not deal with traffic, not see TV or other commercial enterprises.  Just share some time with other folks - it was really special.
