I'm a Catholic raised by a Catholic family... I am a sinner and I don't adhere to all the Catholic teachings... hypocrites are around the church and I may be one of them (unconsciously)... I believe in Christ, in the HOly Trinity, in Mother Mary and the Saints...

I don't pray the rosary regularly but I pray before I sleep.. I keep to it that I pray to God before I sleep to thank Him for all His gifts.. I miss attending masses at times...sometimes intentional.. I haven't confessed for sometime now... so I wouldn't say that I am a good Catholic but I still believe and strive to follow its teaching...

maybe what I can say to people who are confused on what religion to take is that... religion is not based on the people who attends the congregation, sect or group but it relies on your faith or what you believe in... I am a bad Catholic and there are a lot out there but I strive to be a good one... Grin

hmm... my test result says that I should be an Orthodox Quaker, then Jainism, then 7th Day Adventist, then Liberal Quaker, then Eastern Orthodox, then Hindu, and the Roman Catholic...

hmmm.... what is a Quaker?

Paulo, the Quakers are a Protestant Christian demonination who were among the first to come to the United States to practice religious freedom. If I'm not mistaken, William Penn (for whom Pennsylvania is named) was a Quaker. Quakers are pacifists. Richard Nixon, one of our former presidents, came from a Quaker home.

You don't sound like a sinner to me! You sound like a person who has a deep personal relationship with God. At times I also miss participating in the ceremonies connected with the Catholic Church and I will go to Mass. I usuall attend Mass when I visit family, but I still have a problem with a lot of the teachings.

Well, I took the poll. I says that I should be a Neo-Pagan (100%). Imagine that? Good to know that I avoided the rush and started my Pagan path long before the poll told me to.

Also mentioned Unitarian Universalism (85%) - something that I was looking into because another friend of mine mentioned it.

Reform Judaism? That was one I never heard of, and thus must go and obtain information about it. Books... where are my books.

I am judeo-Christian, probably more liberal...

As I sit in church, I feel like somehthing just doesn't add up to me. I can't ever put my finger on it... Something ain't right.... I don't know....

I see alot of legalistic Christians who worship the Bible more than the God who "inspired it"...

History tells us that the middle age church (1200-1600 AD), taught from a book (the Bible) that the common man weren't allowed to read, even if they could they weren't educated enough to actually read it...

As a result, the church instilled alot of fear and pronounced alot of things that weren't even in the book (the Bible)...

King James Version is produced soon after, but that another story... KJV is about to face the same problem that the people in 1500-1600 were facing, few can read it or understand it....

Today, I think the modern church still hasn't recovered from this time period... We have engrained into our minds that we accept everything that comes from the pulpit. We don't think for ourselves.. I would dare say that Christ's teachings and our understanding of them has been diluted similar to the ways the Jewish teachings (ala Moses and Abraham teachings) were when Jesus came walking to the Jordan River...

my religion: unsettled Christian....

I've taken the test a few times over the years, and my results are always the same. Unitarian Universalist 100%. It's ironic, I always considered myself to be a bit of an agnostic, but my parents raised me in the Unitarian church. After all these years of being away from church, I find that I still echo their values, even when I thought I didn't.

Heh, Rhune. High 5!!! The test tells me I should look at Unitarian Universalism too (100%). I was also a high score (88%) for both Liberal Quakers and New Age, with Neo-Pagan close behind at 81%.
