The Amazing Race, for the first time ever since its release in September of 2001, has made the Nielsen top 10 list for highest-rated shows of the week...though TAR has achieved better ratings (especially during season 2), summer allows it to rise above other shows.

However, tonight is the MLB All-Star game which is likely to take a kick out of TAR's ratings.

According to Nielsen's fast national data (subject to change before tomorrow night), TAR recieved a 6.5/11 household rating, 4.3 in the Adults 18-49, and 10.5 million viewers for episode 2!!!

Why did I increase it so much? Accidental Democrat Convention viewers that might think the convention is on Tuesday which it really isn't.

My predictions were exremely wrong. TAR declined to a 6.1/10 in households, 9.78 million viewers, and 4.2 in the 18-49 demographic. HOWEVER, Law & Order: SVU also suffered a drop, even worse than TAR, placing TAR #1 in its timeslot and the whole night!!! Cool

I posted the fast national data for the finale (Best ratings ever! ties with TAR1 finale).

Once the final ratings for the finale are up next Tuesday, I will calculate the season's average.
