That fast? I was hoping for the series to have a two or so months break(I expected Survivor and the Amazing Race to take turns), cuz I fear that if showed more quickly, the series may end sooner than later. But as long as they will have it longer, then go for it!

Hey, oceanavenue477, stay on topic.  This is TAR, not Survivor or BB.
 
TAR7 will probably start about 2-4 weeks after TAR6 so the next break we get between TARs will be next summer.

Wow, that's certainly a lot of seasons in a row.  I'd probably be quite stressed out since I collect loads of informations from it and there isn't much time.    But on the other hand, I'd love all this because it's really great.

To end all questions about filming, public filming permits of a city prove that it began filming on THURSDAY, AUGUST 12.  If you want to know the starting city and 1st pit stop location hop over to spoliers, otherwise please avoid spoliers.

The Teams are usually announced on the Early Show.
 
Since the race started filming August 12th, that means with the normal 29 day race, it should end on September 10th (Friday).  The cast will probably be released the week of September 13-17.

How long does it usually take to film the race? I was suprised how quickly they can edit and put together these shows before the premier.

We will, as we never have anything to do on Thursday nights.  The only event that might cause us to have to tape any of them would be an 8th grade football game.  Granddaughter is Cheerleader!

I think they just need to edit the first episode so that it can be shown on 9/25. Then they can edit the other episodes maybe one every five days.  Grin At least there will be fewer spoilers this way.

Now that I know that TAR6 is filming, I can't help myself but look for cameras whenever I see foreigners in a, er, "place where you rarely see foreigners". Just when I was going to work, I saw a couple in the Train station, asking people who work in the station if they could use any phones there. But of course, there were no cameras.  Roll Eyes
 
I can't wait for TAR6 (and the TAR5 finale)!  Cool

I think it has something to do with the number of people in a country divided by the amount earned by that country in a year. If it's low, it's a  third world country. Not so sure though, I'm very bad in my Economics class...  Grin

i'm really sorry if you think this is going to be shallow but i just need to say this.
 
i think that the names of the contestants in TAR6 will start with the letters N-Z. it's just that i noticed that the names of the racers in this season start with A-N. you know, no one named oswald or zach or rob or reichen. just alison to nicole. i think they just got 22 couples and divided them according to name.

Run or Fun?  That's not the name of the detour...Run is just tells the team where to go.
 
Edit: CBS...what the hell are you doing to us?  CBS just announced TAR would have a late october start.  They failed to mention the date or the day of the week it would premiere.  Starting late October would allow a show to flop and TAR to take it's spot, but also it would make us wait 1 month for the next TAR!  Guess direct back-to-back TAR was a dream...

hey guys (especially you guys from the philippines), have you seen the new AR6 commercial on studio 23?
 
it looks like they're changing the logo of the amazing race.
 
it justs says "AR6" with the 6 a bit higher, looking something like superscript. i'm not sure about the name of the font  but it looked rusty and gritty. and i forgot the color.
 
could this really be a new logo? or just something the tv channel made up?

Why do you already have promos for Amazing Race 6 before CBS does anyway? Does Studio 23 premiere The Amazing Race before CBS or is it on the same day?

it justs says "AR6" with the 6 a bit higher, looking something like superscript. i'm not sure about the name of the font  but it looked rusty and gritty. and i forgot the color.
 
could this really be a new logo? or just something the tv channel made up?

 
hmm... I think this is just some promotional antics of Studio23... our local channels do some minor modifications on their shows to attract more people....
 
AXN Asia also has their own promotions for Amazing Race 6 as well...  and I agree these TV networks only show the series after CBS releases it...Cheesy
 
AXN Asia even has a contest for the Philippine audience for the 2 Philippine episodes (Sept 15 & 22)... and there one chance that I saw their quick preview of the Manila and El Nido episodes which they didn't aired anymore...

The logo I think is for the local channel Studio 23 only. AR6. AND, they say that it premieres October 3 9 am Live (Sunday), with replays at Tuesdays 7:30 pm. But I'm sure Studio23 will have to change the commercial, since CBS hasn't made up it's mind yet if they're going to air TAR6 on October 2, the gits.  Angry
