In the TAR Fantasy Game 3, you will be racing against others on the board. The race will be consisted of fourteen players. However unlike other races, your team will be composed of yourself (username) and one previous racer (not a team) in The Amazing Race. For example your team will be like (Redwings8831 and BJ). The race will be entirely composted of previous Amazing Race legs, with each season 1-9 having either one or two legs. The race will consist of 15 legs. Alliances will be a major part in this game as major twists will pop up throughout.

Types of Clues will include:

Route Information: Route Info clues instruct the teams where to go next. The clue usually only provides the name of the team's next destination; it is up to the teams to figure out how to get there. However, the clue may make specifications about how the teams have to travel. For example, the very first clue of the race specifies which flights teams may take. In addition, teams may be required to take public transportation, drive a marked car or other vehicle, or walk, according to the clue's instructions. The Route Info clues can instruct teams to go to several types of locations, including a specific location in another city or country, another location within the team's present city, the Pit Stop of the leg, and the Finish Line of the race.

Detour: A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each has its own pros and cons. Teams must successfully complete one of the tasks described on the clue in order to receive their next clue. One task is typically an easier option that takes more time to complete, while the other is usually a difficult or frightening option that can be finished quickly. There might be a detour on every leg.

Roadblock: A Roadblock is a task which only one team member may perform. Often, a team may figure out the specific task by observing their surroundings, using common sense, or even seeing other teams already performing the Roadblock task. They then must decide which team member would be best suited to complete it. Once a choice has been made, the teammates cannot switch roles. Some legs might not have a roadblock.

Fast Forward: The Fast Forward allows the team that receives it to skip all remaining tasks on that leg of the race and proceed directly to the Pit Stop. To receive the Fast Forward, the team must be the first team to perform and complete the task described on the Fast Forward clue. The clue is found along with a regular clue at one of the Route Markers. Only one team may use each Fast Forward. There will be four fast forwards on the race.

Yield: The Yield allows any one team to force another team to stop racing for a predetermined amount of time. To Yield an opponent, a team places the picture of the team they wish to yield onto the Yield sign (found near one of the Route Markers). When the yielded team arrives at the Yield, they must turn over an hourglass found on the Yield sign and wait for all the sand to drain before continuing. There will be two yields throughout the race.

Intersection: An intersection is a task where two teams will be forced to work together. There will be two intersections during the race.

Survivor Style Tribal Council: In this new twist in the Amazing Race Fantasy Game 3, at two random points throughout a race, teams will receive this clue. At this point, teams must PM me a name of the team who they want to be eliminated. The team with the most votes will be eliminated on the spot, even if its not at the end of a leg.

TAR Fantasy Game 3 Rules and Scoring

The teams for this race are the following:

First, thank you to all thirteen members who have signed up for this race around the world. This race will have fifteen legs, each which is exactly the same (for the most part) to a leg which occurred in TAR 1 to 9. You will have different types of tasks to perform during the race. Tasks will include:

Signups: These might include something like signing up for a flight or at a route marker. You will do all of your sign ups on the thread. I will tell you when you need to sign up for a task.

Team Tasks: These will occur when you have to complete a task such as finding information on line, playing a game, etc. For these types of tasks, you will need to PM me your information. These will occur for detour, roadblocks and other situations.

Each task will have a specific point value. REMEMBER: POINTS ARE BAD!! THE MORE POINTS YOU HAVE, THE WORSE YOU DID FOR THE TASK. THE FINAL ORDER FOR A LEG WILL BE BASED OFF THESE POINTS.

POINT VALUES:

Signups: You will get 2 point for signing up first, 4 for second etc.

Detour: The detour will have two different types of tasks one you will have to complete. One detour will be easier to complete (thus giving you more points) and one will be harder to complete (thus being fewer points).

Roadblock: This task will be based off of the order of how you complete it.

Fast Forward: Remember that the route is completely real so fast forwards will only occur on legs that had them in the real race. There will be four fast forwards on the race. If you complete the fast forward, you will not receive any points for the remainder of the leg (thus you are not guaranteed a first place finish).

Yield: There are two yields on the entire race. Nothing will happen to the team who uses the yield. The team who is yielded will gain 25% of the current points and it will be added to their total for the leg. (For example: Team A has 100 points before the yield, they will receive 25 more, thus giving them 125.)

Intersection: There are two on the race. More details will come once they occur. (I want to see what happens in TAR 10 with the intersection before using one in this game.)

Survivor Style Tribal Council: At two random points in the race, this will occur. Teams will need to PM me another team who they think should be eliminated. The team with the most votes will be eliminated on the spot. If a team doesnt send me their choice in the given time, a vote to be eliminated will be added to them.

Non Elimination: On non elimination legs, teams will be marked for elimination. If they dont finish in the top three on the next leg, 30% of their points will be added to them, thus giving them a better chance to be eliminated.

Points: 20% of your points will carry over to the next leg, so it will give the teams in the front a little advantage for the next leg.

Leg 1

I am standing at Fort McDowell Adventures in the Fort McDowell Indian Reservation. Located twenty three miles northeast of Phoenix, this forty square mile reservation has become a majestic outdoor entertainment spot as hunting is extremely popular on the reservation. From this reservation, thirteen teams of two will race around the world for one million dollars.

The teams are:

6. Arch Angel and Carissa Gaghan
7. Kiwi and Joni
8. LittleBoy and Mary

You all already know the basic rules of the race. This race will consist of fifteen legs, each with a pit stop. Eleven of these legs are elimination legs so the last team will be eliminated. This race will have many different surprises and you will noticed the first one extremely soon. Your first clue is on the luggage you brought with you. When I say go you can run over to your luggage, read the clue, and get into one of the marked trucks with campers.

Oh yeah, there is another team in this race: GaghanFamily and Bill from the Amazing Race 8

Clue: Drive yourself 33 miles to Mesa and find the Williams Gateway Airport. Once there, search for Fighter Combat International. Note: You must signup once you get there.

Phil: We had a little trouble in the other thread so all of the valuable information for this race was moved over here. We are still waiting for Kiwi/Joni to find the rest of the teams here at the Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona.
