Previously on the Amazing Race, 14 female teams set out from Chicago, Illinois and flew nearly 35,000 miles all the way

around the world

to the tropical island of Martinique

Some teams got a taste of local flavor, while some took in the breath-taking scenery.

Some teams were too distracted by the competition to take notice, while some enjoyed marvelous leads.

Eleven teams fell by the wayside.
Heather and Eve

Megan and Heidi

Debbie and Bianca

Melody and Sharon

Charla and Mirna

Lena and Kristy

Dustin and Kandice

Wanda and Desiree

Christine and Tricia

Aubrey and Jacqueline

Nancy and Emily

Youre the last team to arrive. Im sorry to tell you that youve been eliminated from the Race.

Single moms Lyn and Karlyn were underestimated from the beginning, often facing taunts, suffering bad luck and narrowly escaping elimination once or twice. But they proved every other team wrong and beat them out for a top spot.
Best friends Joe Jer and Zabrina, the first all-female team to win a Race, breezed through most of them, with many thinking theyd be gone soon. But they did well enough to make it in the finals.
Twins Kami and Karli suffered navigational problems, constant bickering and getting Yielded. But thanks to their perseverance and incredible luck, they survived until the Finals.

In this exciting finale, one of these three teams

will go home with $1,000,000

as winners

of the Amazing Race Female Teams 1.

Teams must now head to Mount Pelee for their next clue.

Kami and Karli 30 minutes

King of the Hill. The minutes determine how long theyll take to arrive there.
