Once at the Eiffel Tower teams encountered the next clue
 
DETOUR
A detour is a choice between two tasks each with it's own pros and cons. In this detour teams must choose between High and Low
 
In High, teams must search the Eiffel Tower for the French flag
In Low, teams must win 1 game of tennis against a teenage tennis player
 
HIGH task: PM me a picture of the tower
LOW task: 1. Who was the winner of the Rolland Garros 2006?
 
FAST FORWARD
There's only 1 fast forward on each leg of the race. For this fast forward, teams must go a quarter of the Tour de France course on foot
 
task: 1.Who was the first tour de France winner and what country was he from?
2. Who won it 7 times in a row

Having won the fast forward David and Mary can now go directly to the pitstop-The Tour Metallique de Fourviere in Lyon.
 
Can verysmiley choose transport to the pit stop

At the Institut Lumiere teams encountered the next clue
 
ROADBLOCK
A roadblock is a task that only 1 team member may perform. In this roadblock, one team member must search for Le Livre de France (The Book of France) at the Bernard Chadere reading room.
 
TASK: Go to http://www.institut-lumiere.org/ , bibliotheque, Presentation and translate Paragraph 1 in English and pm it to me with who does the roadblock
 
HALT
This is the 2nd of 4 Halts in the entire race. This give the power for 1 team to stop every team behind them for 10 minutes. The first team the pm me for the halt will receive it.

My first leg in any game was a first place!  That was the first leg in this game.  Hopefully, I can keep my luck up.  I'm doing badly in Liz's game because of the time differences, but the time differences here are HELPING me!
