Shargx's The Amazing Race Fantasy Game EP1 POSTED!

Welcome to Shargx's The Amazing Race Fantasy Game! The game will be patterned after typical TAR games but there are going to be a lot of twists.

HOW TO JOIN: Just copy-paste the sign-up list at the end of this post. There will only be 10 slots. Write your name and your team members' names (e.g. Flo & Zach) but there is a catch... you can pair up two different people! (e.g. Teri & Tyler)

EPISODES: Each leg will cover one episode. All of the tasks for the leg will be posted here in the forums.

Tasks ALWAYS include these:

1.) WHERE IN THE WORLD? - There will be a picture given and you have to figure out where it is located (the country). Don't worry, these are only famous landmarks.

2.) WHAT'S THIS JARGON? - A sentence (or a few words) from a given language will be posted underneath the picture. You have to find out what language is the sentence (or the words) written in.

3.) READ BETWEEN THE LINES - An excerpt from a poem (in english) will be posted. This consists of three to four lines, however, there is one missing line. You have to find out the missing line.

4.) ONE WAY OR TWO WAY? - Here you get to choose. ONE WAY is usually a task which does not involve any other task. It is usually a question about Biology, Chemistry or Physics. TWO WAY is a task which is usually designed to aid your answers in "WHERE IN THE WORLD" or "WHAT'S THIS JARGON". It is usually a question about geography or the like.

5.) WORLD'S BEST - A question, usually about world records, will be posted. All you have to do is answer.

6.) JUMBLED UP! - A jumbled up word will be posted, and whoever gets to decipher the MEANING of the word first gets to have one place up. First-placers will get to yield one team for the next round. The answer to this task is to be posted IN THIS THREAD.

All tasks can be solved by a search engine, so, don't worry. I also depend on those. Sadly, all wrong answers cost a team one place down per wrong answer.

ALL TASK ANSWERS except the "JUMBLED UP!" part should be PMed (Private Message) to me.

There is a specific format, though. It's easy to follow. Failure to follow the format costs your team 1 place down.

Message body should contain
TEAM MEMBERS' NAMES

WHERE IN THE WORLD - <your answer>
WHAT'S THIS JARGON - <your answer>
READ BETWEEN THE LINES - <your answer>
ONE WAY (if you choose ONE WAY... the same applies for TWO WAY) - <your answer>
WORLD'S BEST - <your answer>

There is no FAST FORWARD in this game but there is a YIELD (which can only be used by teams who get the "JUMBLED UP" task BUT end up in first place in the said leg.) that costs any yielded team 3 places down.

Once all e-mails are received, the results shall be posted. A team who fails to submit their answers two days after a team has submitted answers will be eliminated automatically.

The first three rounds will all be elimination rounds. During the fourth round, the three teams who were eliminated WILL ALSO PLAY as if they have their own race (with tasks exactly the same as the norm) and whoever gets to be in first place GETS TO GO BACK IN THE GAME from the fifth round onwards!

Teri and Nancy, YOU ARE THE FIRST TEAM TO ARRIVE.

HOWEVER, you are given a penalty of three places.

First: You failed to follow the format... the subject line, in particular.
For your case, it should be:

[STARFG] Teri & Nancy 1 (and your answer to Where In The World)

That cost you one place down.

Your answer to Where In The World is also wrong, because I was asking for the COUNTRY.
