Calendar question

According to my time and date it is now September 2, 2002 here in toronto but my calendar is still showing JeffGator's birthday down at the bottom.  When I look at the calendar Jeffgator's birthday was September 1st and should no longer be showing.  any reason why it would be?  Is calendar on GMT, or a different time zone than I am in?
