Hi Ayanda.  If someone uses the hide text codes in a post then ONLY other people who POST to that same thread are able to read the hidden text.
 
If you don't post to the thread then it just says hidden text and you can't read it.   If you want to read the hidden text then you need to post something in the thread (anything will do) and then you can see  ALL the hidden posts for the whole thread.

The hide feature doesn't work in this version of the software.  What you can do instead is to colorize your text to match the background. Then someone has to highlight it with their mouse to read it.  Most often we color text white to hide something from the 10 recent posts list.
