How to get rid of flies

There are damn flies around our pool.
 
Hey, we have a fibreglass pool in the backyard built by an organization in Toronto. It's been 10 years and we often host pool parties twice a year.
 
Maintenance and cleaning adopt natural methods devoid of any chemicals which can otherwise contaminate the entire pool. The pH is thoroughly checked too.  
 
But for the last couple of days, these flies have found a liking to the pool surface. What might be the reason for that? Has anyone confronted dealt with a situation like this before? Looks like I might need to call the pool service company again.
