A Greenwich, Conn. man on a honeymoon cruise is missing and may have fallen off the cruise ship in the Mediterranean Sea.

George Smith, had recently gotten married and was on his honeymoon, one of his cousins told the Greenwich Time.

According to Michael Sheehan, a spokesman for Royal Caribbean International, the ship, Brilliance of the Seas, was on a 12-night Mediterranean sailing cruise.

When the ship docked at Kusadasi island in the Aegean region of Turkey on July 5, cruise officials learned that one of its passengers was missing, Sheehan said.

"They completed the search of the ship," he said. "The person in question was not found. Some additional investigation was done on board and there was indication that the individual may have fallen off board."

Sheehan said the ship left late last month from Barcelona and had been halfway through its cruise.

"Both the Greek and the Turkish coast guard conducted both air and sea searches and thus far, they have not been productive," he said. "We are continuing to assist in the ongoing investigation."

Yikes...how traumatic for the bride..hope they had insurance and she gets therapy.

You can't blame the cruise lines when one gets
onboard, drinks too much and falls off the balcony!

So far, this is thought to be what happened
as bride and groom were drinking heavily.

Maybe he did have a lot of insurance,
