Its actually a nice action and morally based movie. I suggest you watch it. Its been shown here in the Philippines more than a year ago... We even have it in VCD and DVDs already... Is it englished dubbed now though?

Nope.. has subtitles from what I've heard... Wasn't due to be released here, and Quentin Tarentino happened upon it and financed it's release.

I really want to see it, but it's not on locally, so have to drive into Dallas to see it.. Tongue

and pay "real" money (our local theatre has new releases for $2.00, I'm so spoiled!!). Guess I'll try to make it next weekend...

OK, it will be worth it. Though of course, it depends on your taste, but this movie is heavy on moral decisions and ideals as well as great action and drama.

Well this aint the usual modern martial arts he is in, like "the One" which sucks. This is set in his own country which doesnt have to involve crazy stories... Though yeah, he do acts one dimensional.

I haven't seen this film, and didn't realize it was an old one (for us here), until I saw a clip where two figures wearing red (I'm not sure they're women, since I was far from the TV) fight each other, surrounded by billowing yellow leaves. OMG! I totally love that scene. I don't know why, but the colors were amazing, the movement were graceful.

But after watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, I'm thinking twice if I'm going to see this movie.

That's what the previews reminded me of, and I loved that movie... definitely going to have to make time to go...

Well, I went and saw this and, in my opinion, it's no crouching tiger hidden dragon. Visually it was beautiful, but plot-wise it was awfully thin...there were several moments when I laughed out loud and I don't think the writers/director intended for me to at that point. It was ok, but it would have been a better renter than spending $8.50 on.
