We put on the Sound of Music in school. It was a lot of fun!

Anyways, I tend to like either really funny/stupid movies and mushy romance movies.
Landon Carter and Jaime Sullivan - A Walk to Remember
The two leads from The Notebook played by Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling (sorry having a brain block and forgot their characters names)
Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley in Pirates of the Carribean

I warn you, it has some heavy elements in it. Lots of swearing, death, drugs... it's pretty open with all of that. However, if you do watch it, you will see why Natalie Portman's character is so admirable. Or at least... I hope you'll see it! Smiley

Rachael,
Thanks for the heads up on content.  I will rent next week as that my children will be attending youth camp.

George Pepard as Paul "Fred" Varjak in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

There are many, many more I love but his character always stands out as it is my favorite movie.

Not sure why, but the first character that popped into my head when I saw this thread.. was Indiana Jones, and I especially loved him interacting with is father (Sean Connery) in The Last Crusade.

MY favorite bit - the snake in the airplane at the beginning... then all the snakes in the pit "Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?"

Let's see....

Marty McFly, Dr. Emit Brown - Back to the Future series
Maria - Sound of Music
Robin Williams - Dead Poets Society
Maggie Smith, Whoopi Goldberg - Sister Act (I like their contrasting characters in the movie)

And tons more.  Grin

I love Maggie Smith in everything she's done!

As for Indiana Jones... who WOULDN'T think of that? Not only is it a young Harrison Ford, but it's a young Harrison Ford in a cowboy hat with a whip!
