Leg 13 Finale: Montego Bay--> San Juan, Puerto Rico--> Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Ryan Seacrest: Welcome to a special episode of American Idol. Tonight's show is nothing about singing and popularity, but our lovely judges are going to discuss the finale of the 2 time Emmy-award winning Amazing Race. And here they are, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell. Give it up for them.

*clap clap*

Randy: Yo dawg.

Paula: Hi everyone.

Simon: Oh, hi. (sacarstic look)

Ryan: Without further delay, let the finale begin!

Teams travelled 40,000 miles from the Long Beach California to here in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Along the way, 8 unlucky teams got eliminated. Ron and Kelly, Rob and Amber and Uchenna and Joyce are the final 3. In the previous leg, Uchenna and Joyce came in last in the final NEL, and are starting the final leg with $0 and no belongings.

Ron and Kelly, who were the 1st to arrive at 2.37pm, will be 1st to depart at 2.37am, armed with $445. Rob and Amber, hot on their heels departed in 2nd 1 minute later. Both teams have to head to an onion shack and grab a bag of 50 onions in Lucea, and head to a kitchen and start chopping to earn their next clue.

Simon: Have the TAR producers run out ideas? Cutting onions? That's pathetic!

Randy and Paula: Shut up Simon and watch the show.

Rob and Amber got an early lead when Ron and Kelly got a lousy cab driver. Uchenna and Joyce departed last at 2.48am, with no money. In such a deserted place, they could find no one to beg from, and resorted to going to the airport to beg for money. Even though Uchenna wanted to do stunts to earn some money, nobody bothered to help them. Joyce started crying.  Cry

Paula: Poor Uchenna and Joyce.

Randy: I wanna cry too.

Simon: Oh please, those 2 could have used that time for crying for something more productive.

Rob and Amber finished the onion chopping task ahead of Ron and Kelly. Both teams realized they have to go to Rose Hall Great House Resort, a former plantation house, 60 miles away.

Simon: It's a good thing the army teaches its soldiers how to cook.

Uchenna and Joyce got their lucky break and got some money from the people at the airport. They happily headed to the kitchen to start chopping onions after collecting them at the shack.

Paula: Yay Uchenna and Joyce!  Cool

Rob and Amber and Ron and Kelly found their last detour.

Detour: Pony Up or Tee It Up

For Pony Up, Teams must participate in a local sport, horseback swimming, by riding a horse into the ocean. Once their horse started swimming, the racers must slide off and hold onto its tail as the horse swam around buoys and headed back to shore. Tee It Up required Teams to don golf apparel and head to the driving range, where they must hit a golf ball into a 16-foot area 140 yards away to earn their next clue.

Scene cuts into Rob and Ron changing.

Paula: Those guys are simply too hot to resist.

Simon: Does that include Corey Clark?

Paula stares at Simon.  Roll Eyes

Both teams showed how bad they were at playing golf. But eventually Rob and Amber finished ahead of Ron and Kelly.

Randy: They could learn golf from me!  Grin

Teams found out they had to travel 800 miles to San Juan Puerto Rico and find the Castillo de San Felipe del Morro Fort. Rob and Amber got to the airport first, and rushed to get on the 9.15am flight but could not. However, they still managed to catch at 9.54am flight. Ron and Kelly had to settle for a 12.34pm one.

Randy: At the rate they are going, Rob and Amber are so gonna win!

Rob and Amber touched down in San Juan and found the fort. The clue instructed them to go to Aguadilla and find an abandoned sugar factory. But to their dismay, it didn't open until 7.30am the next day.

Paula: Take that Rob and Amber! Ha!

Simon: I expected something like that to happen.  Roll Eyes

Back in Jamaica, Uchenna and Joyce finally finished chopping their onions and headed to the detour, and completed the golf challenge. They boarded a flight after 4pm. However, they and Ron and Kelly caught up at the sugar factory.

On the last day of the race, 3 teams rushed into the sugar factory and found a roadblock.

Roadblock: One Team member must jump off of a 30-foot bridge and swim 90 yards to retrieve the next clue.  It was performed by Amber, Ron and Uchenna. Rob and Amber got lost trying to find the jump site.

Simon: Rob and Amber remind me of certain AI rejects. I don't understand why they even bothered joining in the 1st place.

They did find it, but after Ron and Uchenna found it. The next clue told them to head to the Miami, Florida and go to Rickenbacker Causeway for their next clue.

On the way to the aiport, Ron and Kelly got lost, and the two started fighting again.

Randy: Don't they just remind you of he-and-she-who-must-not-be-named.  Wink

Rob and Amber managed to get on a flight departing in a matter of minutes. As it looked set that Rob and Amber are going to win another million bucks, Uchenna and Joyce begged the staff to reopen the doors. The plane moved back, the aerobridge protruded and the doors opened, allowing the couple to walk in.

All 3: Oh my god!!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Ron and Kelly had to settle on a flight departing at 11.40am (delayed). Meanwhile in Miami, Rob and Amber got their clue first, telling them to go to Little Havana and find the King of the Havanas Cigar Shop, known by its Spanish name, El Rey de los Habanos. They took a really long time to figure out where the shop is, allowing Uchenna and Joyce to take the lead and claiming the final clue first, where they had to travel to Fort Lauderdale, find the Bonnet House, and follow the marked path to the finish line!!!!!

Trouble loomed for Uchenna and Joyce when their cab driver demanded full fare. The couple had trouble finiding finanacial aid, and Rob and Amber are getting closer.....

Paula: No, no. Uchenna and Joyce can't lose like this!!!!

Phil strained his neck. He could see a couple running towards him. It's....

Uchenna and Joyce. He announced they were the official winners of TAR7. They plan to raise a child, if not adopt one. Rob and Amber checked in 2nd, looking really tired. Too bad for Rob, he got 2 straight runner-up finishes. Ron and Kelly checked in last. Sigh.

Paula: I'm so glad the nicest people won. I would have puked if the survivors had won.

Simon: But the reopenign of the airplane doors. That made their win look so unhonorable, so fixed up. It's definitely a conspiracy.

Randy: As much as I liked them, I have to agree with Simon.

Paula: You know what. I'm gonna quit as judge of American Idol right this instant!

Simon: Oh shut up Paula!

Ryan: And we have to the end of  yet another heart-pumping finale. Stay tuned for TAR8, famliy edition. Until then, Seacrest, out!
