Tom Hank's movie Castaway and The Blue Lagoon were filmed there. Also, MB shot Eco-Challenge there.
 
In the days of sailing ships it was known as The Cannibal Isles and carefully avoided by mariners because of its fierce warriors and treacherous waters.
 
Fiji is ideally located in the tropics of the southern hemisphere. It lies on the 180 Meridian where the dawning of each new day occurs.

would be cool if TAR6 could film same time during summer and stop in fiji in the french polynesian...and have a survivor/TAR thing...
