If you want your autograph with a picture or logos then work something up and PM it to me so I can print it out tomorrow on special paper. Well, here we are! everyone is so wonderful! Allthe Survivors and the Amazing Racers! I spent quite a lot of time with Uchenna and Joyce, Chip and Kim, Richen, Coby, Janu, and many others. LL and I are ordering pizza now and we are attending the autograph session and the party tomorrow. Media Scribe is sooooooooo cute, he was nervous meeting everyone. Who knew BJ was such a Pac Man wizard? In one game he came within a couple hundred points of beating the highest score on the machine.

I fell in love with Brady all over again. I now have his bona fide business card from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His title is Supervisory Special Agent, Physical Security Unit. Shocked

Reichen is drop dead gorgeous. But of course I already knew that. And he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. It's great to see Mum again and to finally meet Mr. Mum.

Scribe was in hog heaven. After some 4 or 5 years, I finally got to see his handsome face and have drinks with him. He took pictures ALL night.

Just some random notes...Matt is shorter than you would expect. Coby is taller than you would expect. Bobby is is built like the terminator, Danielle and Misty are breathtaking. There aren't words to describe how beautiful and sweet Julie is. Sarge and Bruce are two of the nicest guys I've ever met. I wanted to squeeze Bobby Jon till he couldn't breathe. All the racers are a riot. Particularly Chip. Coby and Janu tore up the dance floor. Wanda is alot of fun and very vibrant.

Cirie didn't make it last night so we're all looking forward to seeing her today.

While I had an audience, I let Judd have an earful. Myself and all the Survivors who were standing around us confirmed that he lied. He still denies it. But you know what? He's hilarious. He has a nice, beautiful and tolerant, patient wife. She showed us a pic of their daughter who looks like a dream boat. And he and Jamie share a bond that is very apparent.

More thoughts later. Time to get moving some.

Greetings from The Surreal Life:ForumsNet Edition!! It's hot down here, and I'm NOT talking about the 94 degree temperatures and intolerable humidity! I'm very excited to report that I got to finally meet our own lakelady and Insane 4 Survivor and they are wonderful, charming women who really look at home here with all of our Survivor friends! Oh, and there are a few Survivors here too.

Some quick stories while I remember them...
First off, I got to chat extensively with Jennifer Lyon and I'm happy to report she is all through her treatments and doing wonderful. She's so beautiful, so self-assured and positive that you can't help by smile when talking with her! Here's Jenn with Coby and Katie...

Our friend Wanda just came back from hiking in Pennsylania and has the cuts on her legs to prove it! She would have done so well if given the chance!

Coby was the 'Diva' last night, dancing with everyone and having a blast...he's as nice as I imagined from our numerous e-mail conversations. Here's Coby dancin' with Janu...the boy sure can move!!

The Exile Islanders were in force and certainly having fun. Here's a group pic...

Cindy Hall is so tiny, but she is always smiling!! She posed for a pic with her torch that our wonderful host, Jan, known here as Guttingen, had outbid her for on e-bay!!

Speaking of Jan, he and his wife Iris are terrific hosts and boy, what a spread they and their staff put on!!! Everyone from Discovery Beach has done an amazing job! While talking to Jan, I got a sense of how hard this gentleman has worked to put this together...I could see a little of the exhaustion in his eyes, but it was tempered with that wide-eyed excitement that we all get from Survivor!

And finally, here's a secret picture that I will explain a little later. Grin

I'm excited to be heading back there this afternoon...I'm sure they'll let me in...because I have the Immunity Idol!!!

This afternoon was the public autograph signing where we all got to get things signed and have pics taken. It was SOOO hot, that eventually many of the Survivors stripped to theirs swimming duds and jumped in the pool! This being a family board, and to protect the Survivors' privacy, I won't be posting the Julie/Danielle bikini shots...I'll only say to the guys...well worth the cost of the trip! Wink

To answer some questions, everybody was just randomly dancing with everyone else, no one seemed to be 'hooking up'.

People have been very discreet with Reichen and the recent revelations. Lance did not make the trip. Reichen's Mom, (one of our posters here!) is a very charming woman who I got to chat about it for a few moments. Again, I'd like to respect peoples' private lives here.

Pocket, all of us that have been long time members know you meant nothing insulting at all!

Pocket, I in no way felt your question was a slur or insult, I was just explaining why after answering your question about Lance, I didn't go into any more detail. I'm sorry if the answer sounded curt...it wasn't intended to sound so, my friend.

The autograph session was barely controlled chaos, in a fun way! The Survivors looked and acted like rock stars, they were really enjoying themselves and were really fantastic to the public, even though everyone was so hot!

The Saturday dinner was a little more low key. Everyone knew things were drawing to a close and you could see that the Survivors were going to miss seeing each other for a while. There was a lot more sitting and chatting and taking pictures of each other.

Here's a pic of Reichen and John P. checking out a picture they just shot of themselves...

Judd was really the life of the party tonight! At one point he was doing cartwheels and split his pants. Let's just say that 'little Judd and his pals' made an unexpected visit!

Here's a pic of Judd and Jamie relaxing at the bar...

Jan, our host, managed to procure the Survivor Vanuatu sign from that season's finale set and he has each Survivor who attends sign it. Here's a pic of Brooke signing it while Brian tries to order something from the bar using x-ray vision...

Now, to explain the 'Secret photo' from yesterday...

Each year, the Survivors who are attending the bash purchase some large item, sign it and present it to our host Jan as a token of their appreciation for putting this wonderful event together. This year, Twila arranged for a friend of hers to make a big wooden sign with a Discovery Beach Bash logo on it. It was beautiful. I didn't want to spoil it yesterday in case Jan had a spare moment to visit us here as he did the weeks leading up to the Bash. So, here's a picture of the Survivors from the Secret Pic signing the gift up in Twila's room...

I had a great time this weekend and am looking forward to attending again next year. Jan, if you read this, you put on one hell of a great event! I thank you for that and for treating this first-timer so nicely!

Lake and I4S, it was so great finally meeting you both! I look forward to many more Discovery Beach Bashes to come with you gals!

I'll post a wrap-up and more pics after I get back in a few days from my whirlwind Florida tour to see my relatives which begins....NOW!!

I got up around 9 or so. I4S was up earlier. We had plans for breakfast with Mum, Mr. Mum and Reichen. Walked a block over to the restaurant, got a table and then talked to Mum. Seems Reichen stayed out late with the others for the after party and wanted to sleep in before his flight out. So I4S and I ate and came back and watched a Lifetime movie. We had to wait awhile till the minions who's ambushed the pool finally got tired and left.

Now we are swimming and sitting under an umbrella enjoying the ocean breeze and reading. I decided it was time to open my birthday present that I4S brought me from Napa. A bottle of Beringer Chardonnay Private Reserve. I need to treat myself to expensive wine more often. This stuff is GREAT! Grin

Shortly we plan to walk 1/2 a block to the Cocoa Beach Pier which we can see from our balcony. There a lots of restaurants, bars, shops and arcades.
I am SO glad we choose not to leave on Sunday. It's so nice to have no pressure to deal with a hangover, get to the airport and deal with a flight. The downside is that we will be a couple more days in posting pics. But they will be worth the wait. I took 12 pictures on a disposable camera on Friday night and I have no clue what they are. It should be fun to see. lol
Scribe has the best pics. I4S and I were too busy having fun to get all the great ones as we did last year.

I had the most awesome time at DB 2006! All the Survivors and TAR folks were kind, generous with their time and fun!

The event was so well planned, I can't tell you that enough. Thanks to Jan, Iris and all the folks who helped to make it such a wonderful event. Both days were so much fun but the afterparty.... whoot, whoot!!! My hubby has a cast on his arm and I've had a problem with my achilles tendon so we didn't dance but it was a blast watching the Survivors dance with each other and with the fans.

I was equally stoked to meet all the great folks who post on this and other boards. Lakelady, Insane4Survivor and MediaScribe (hope I didn't leave anyone out) are THE BEST! It was a blast hanging out with you guys! Hope we meet again soon.

I'll share some photos here, if it's okay, as soon as I can get my laptop up and running.

I'm at the point now where I4S and I just made it to the party Friday night.
I'll post it as soon as it's done. Should be finished before next year. lol

My favorite part is when I was taking a shower and went for the conditioner (those plastic bottles that come with a traveling kit). It felt real funny on my hair and smelled funny too. Didn't want to rinse out. Blew my hair dry as usual and it did GREAT! Later, I went to put some lotion on my legs. It smelled and acted funny too. That was when I realized I'd used lotion as a conditioner on my hair. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

May try that again because it worked very well. I4S will never ever let me live that down. Cheesy
