I listen to all types of music and love hearing reviews of new CD's.  So, what's the best CD you have bought recently?

I've been in a rock&roll mood lately.  This past week I finally broke down and bought the Fuel CD.  I also bought an old Bryan Addams CD. I had the tape, but I wanted the CD for my car.

I asked my sister to buy me the Michelle Branch CD for my birthday, so we will see if she listens to me when I talk  Roll Eyes

I'm an 80's freak, although lately I have been listening to a lot of Fiona Apple on CD.  I like a lot of her unreleased stuff.

I am not an Eminem fan, but I do like his new song.  I feel like he's been an immature jerk and said some deplorable things, but I'm willing to allow that he may have grown up a little and learned a lesson or two....we'll see.  The reviews I've read of his new album seem to indicate he has matured a lot.

I've been listening a lot to the Fiona Apple CD, "When the Pawn". It only had one minor hit off it (Fast As You Can), but the rest of the album is great.. I recommend checking it out.

I have "When the pawn" and although I like it, it really doesn't compare to her first album, which is a brilliant masterpiece Smiley  I was slightly disappoined by it.  And ya gotta love Eminem!

The last album I got was the "We were soldiers" soundtrack, and it's great.. normally on soundtracks there are only a few songs I can stand, but on this one there's only one song I'm not crazy about.. and quite a few that I love.  Most of the songs are pretty mellow and kinda sad, which is what I like.  I guess about half would be considered country, but they aren't about drinkin' and achy breaky hearts, so it's okay Wink

If it ain't about drinkin' or achy breaky hearts, then it ain't country.  :cowboy:

I agree on soundtracks, there's one I just LOVE and like 95% of the songs on, it's from the movie "Until the End of the World" which was a foreign film, but great soundtrack...

How does that joke go?  What do you get when you play country music backwards?

You get your dog back, you get your wife back, you get your house back....

Well, my wife bought "Kidz Bop" :barf:  If you thought there was nothing worse than the current crop of mindless bubble-gum pop stars, try hearing their songs slowed down, and sung by children. :barf:

You know it really ain't a country song unless you talk about:  Mama, trains, your pickup truck, beer, getting drunk, your dog, or your girlfriend.  (Not necessarily in that order) Wink

Which reminds me of another joke,   What does a Tornado and an Arkansas divorce have in common??
